How About a Game of Internet Marketing?

Unlike most games, the game of Internet Marketing doesn’t have clear boundaries, marked off playing fields, and only one set of accepted rules. In fact, just like Kamagra Soft the internet itself, Internet Marketing is a moving target; it’s evolving at the speed of technology and it’s as complex as the desires and purposes of internet surfers.

That being said, I want to start by defining Internet Marketing. MY definition of Internet Marketing, for the purposes of this article, is: the business of selling cialis to buy electronic products, and the processes, methodologies, and software that support the selling of those products, by using (primarily) online marketing strategies and technologies to attract, and keep, customers.

In this article, I’m going to establish a few Basic Assumptions. Then I’m going to answer three simple questions – 1) What are we selling?; 2) How are we attracting customers?; and 3) To whom are we selling? My hope is that the frank and honest discussion around these assumptions and questions will help to shed light and bring some measure of clarity and simplicity to what can be a VERY murky and confusing subject.

First, A Few Assumptions

1. The purpose of the game is to make money. If this assumption is incorrect, you’re in the wrong place!

2. Money is earned when products/services are purchased by someone other than yourself.

3. Profit is made when, for a defined period of time, income exceeds outgo.

4. You know you’ve WON the game when you have attained your financial goal. (Then set another goal, and keep playing!)

IM From 30,000 Feet

* – Internet Marketer (IM) decides to market something on the Internet.

* – IM decides To Whom he will market, and defines his potential customer as clearly as possible.

* – IM discovers what his potential customer wants, needs, and is willing to pay money for.

* – IM either creates a product/service, or finds a product/service someone else has created, that satisfies the needs and wants of the customer.

* – IM figures out how to attract customer to the product/service.

* – Customer makes a decision to purchase the product/service.

* – Process is repeated until the IM wins the game (see assumptions above) or gives up.

To Whom Are We Selling?

Well that depends, doesn’t it. What is the market segment, or niche, which you have identified? Niches can be any size from HUGE to quite small. Your potential customer in your niche is someone with a problem to solve, or a need or desire to fulfill, who is ready and willing to pay money for the solution you are providing. The potential customer is also someone who has been made aware of YOUR particular solution, and has decided that your solution can be trusted to perform as advertised.

What Are We Selling?

We are selling solutions. Actually, we are selling the benefits of our solutions once they are effectively put to use. These solutions are usually delivered electronically, although they can be “hard” products delivered the old-fashioned way. Among the most common solutions are Reports, E-Books, Software, Methods (i.e., How To Design and Implement a Training Program for Sumo Wrestlers), Collections (i.e., Graphics Collections, Rebrandable Private Label Rights Collections, etc.), Memberships, Private or Group Coaching, Training (for just about anything you can imagine!), and the list goes on…

How Are We Attracting Customers?

Here again, there are so many possibilities it’s not even funny. It’s not funny because it’s not easy to figure out which methods will be most effective and efficient. Free solutions take the most time. Paid solutions cost the most money (sorry, No prescription cialis is that too obvious?). Some of the most common options are Article Marketing, Video Marketing, Blogging, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) around particular key words, Joint Venture and Ad Swaps, Pay Per Click (PPC) via particular search engines, and offline methods like classified ads, fliers, drop cards, radio or TV spots, and the list goes on.

It’s no wonder that most of us get flustered, frustrated and confused when we begin to play the game of Internet Marketing. Every direction we turn there are TOO DAMN MANY CHOICES. So the best players, who eventually become the winners of the game, soon realize that the best chance they have of winning is to pick SOMETHING and get good at it. Find your niche. Find or create your product. Pick a delivery method. Pick an advertising method or two. Focus your energies on one thing at a time, and master one new skill at a time.

And never forget the famous advice of M. Ali: “Float like a butterfly and sting like a bee!” Now get on with the game!!!
