Trying to think of costume ideas can be a nightmare, but fancy dress parties are usually a lot more fun and exciting than your average gathering. Co-ordinating costumes so every attendee doesn’t turn up dressed as The Crow is a good idea, and finding costume ideas which haven’t been done to death can also help.

The Blues Brothers
Blues Brothers costumes are the last minute solution to a party predicament. Black suits, black ties and black glasses are all you need, as well as gallons of cool and preferably a moody blues soundtrack.

Star Wars
Star Wars always provides some notable fancy dress costumes, with a whole host of characters begging to be impersonated. Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Darth Vader are the most commonly impersonated, although equally RJD2, C3PO and Jabba the Hut costumes would be a sight to behold! Ja Ja Binx costumes are bound to become available soon, although this character is unlikely to become as well loved as his 70s forefathers.

Batman
Batman is a classic fancy dress costume, if one which would be quite is there a generic propecia hard to knock-up at home. It depends if you want the cape, utility belt and proper ears but there are also many other great characters from the Batman films which would make smashing get-ups, including the Penguin, Robin, the Joker and the Riddler.

The Flintstones
While The Flintstones might actually be a TV show, it still counts as movie fancy dress thanks to the live action remake starring John Goodman and Hale Berry. Rags, pebble jewellery and torn cloth ties are in order here, and if you’re really feeling adventurous perhaps you could try to construct the Fred-powered Flintstones car to take you to the party.

Flash Gordon
A great costume for parties of over 25s, Flash Gordon provides some classic fancy dress fodder. They can be a slightly tricky costume to pull off on your own, but there are proper Flash Gordon and Ming the Merciless fancy dress costumes available.

Sherlock Levitra Professional Holmes
For a more literary fancy dress costume, have you considered dressing as Sherlock Viagra Professional Holmes and Dr. Watson? A long raincoat, tweed and pipe smoke is essential, as well as a monocle and a quaint English accent. If you want to go as a double act, then your partner could dress as Doctor Watson.

Wallace and Gromit
Nick Park’s Wallace and Gromit provide some good costume ideas, from the movie’s two stars, to the evil penguin, Sean the Sheep or Preston the guard dog. Difficult to create at home, these costumes might need to be hired from a costume shop or website.
