In the past decade, Apple Corporation has burst onto the surface of the computer world by coming out with Mac Books, Mac Book Pros, notebooks, and a horde of other computer products that have become extremely popular. They are becoming a commonplace thought when people think of computers.

But let’s face it, Microsoft is still on top despite Apple’s climb up the technology ladder. Since the late 80s when Microsoft was founded by Bill Gates, the corporation changed the whole way people think of personal technology. Microsoft is synonymous with the term personal computer.

Most everybody that has had a personal computer some time in their life has been introduced to or has a Windows operating system. Just think of 95, 98, 2000, or XP. These programs have been helping people achieve things with their computer that they never thought possible.

That’s why Windows operating systems are so important, and why there is considerable hype each time a new operating system is announced and introduced. For computer junkies, this is like Christmas time. They get to open their present and tinker around with it for the next several years.

This joyous hype was no different when one of the most recent Microsoft programs was announced, Windows Vista. It had been 4 years since Microsoft’s XP system was released, and the time for a new system was necessary.

This is when Vista stepped in. It was announced in July 2005 and released in January 2007 worldwide with a lot of expectations. Cialis Jelly But it quickly became the target of strong media and user criticism; it just didn’t perform as well as users wanted it to.

It was only a quick 2 years later that Windows made a new operating program, Windows 7. On top of that, Vista was still #2 behind Windows XP in sheer users. It was being smothered by 2 other systems that were released by its own company.

There are several problems with Vista that made it undesirable for users and businesses. Let’s take a look at some of the reasons that it made a plunge off the deep end.

The first problems many users saw was that even after they bought the new Silagra program, it was not even compatible with their computer. Even though the company assured that most computers would run the program, they ran into problems when users (especially those with new computers) found that the program was useless.

Many people opted out because they thought this was much too expensive for an operating system. This may be true when looking at the fact that some laptops and computers on the market today can be bought for as low as $400.

Vista came with a “Protected Video Path”, which had a positive intention to increase security, but only resulted in some HD DVDs and Blu-ray discs to glitch and not work properly.

Fixing this required users to fix it manually or buy even more hardware. This just led to more frustration to people who had been introduced to it.

One of the last big problems with the system came with the new feature “User Account Control”. This program was designed to prevent software from hacking and gaining administrator privilege without a person’s permission.

But all that came out of the program was irritating pop-ups and notices that kept cluttering people’s screens. Many found this annoying and just added another check to the list of heavy problems with the system.

Microsoft tried to address many of these concerns by changing features and fixing bugs, but that only alleviated the problem in a small way. Lawsuits, bad media attention, and a ton of negative user feedback over the internet have made it hard for Vista to make a comeback.

Will Microsoft put their heads together and help Vista get back in the swing of things, or will it only continue to be smothered by other operating systems and by Apple products? Only time can tell who will be declared the winner.
