Atlanta Rises to the Top
There are lots of things to do in Atlanta. It is a leading city in the South that is constantly expanding and reinventing itself.
There is something waiting for you in this city. Some local recreation includes world class shopping, delectable dining and so much more being created all the time.
For example, Stone Mountain Park used to be one of the great draws just outside the area. However, today, there are so many options in town to keep you occupied and satisfied.
A newer addition, The Georgia Aquarium, is the largest in the world, drawing visitors who want to get hands on experience with sea creatures and closer views of whale sharks. Located at Pemberton Place, this has over 8.1 million gallons of marine and fresh water housing for more than 100,000 animals of 500 different Brand Levitra species.
There are many notable creatures here like the four young whale sharks, two beluga whales and two manta rays. The facilities are mostly funded by a $250 million donation from Home Depot co-founder Bernie Marcus who contributed to build on the 20 acre site north of Centennial Olympic Park in downtown Atlanta.
Also, the Woodruff Arts Center is a cultural place where you can catch a performance by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra or gaze on treasures from the Louvre on loan at the High Museum of Art. Also called the heartbeat of Atlanta’s arts community in midtown, the Center offers Atlantans a bold variety of performing and visual arts from traditional to avant-garde.
Also, the World of Coke is a dedicated site to the hometown of the beverage where you can taste all the fizzy flavors and learn the history of the brand and its products. Take a trip through the factory and see what you can discover about Coca-Cola.
This factory has 60,000 feet for you to enjoy and features more than 1,200 artifacts from around the world that, until now, have never been displayed to the public before. There is something new and intriguing around every corner with its many interactive exhibits like a thrilling, multi-sensory 4-D movie (3-D glasses with moving seats) and a fully functioning bottling line.
You can also give the 7 foot tall Coca-Cola Polar bear a big hug and get photos taken with him. You will also have a chance to taste the experience by sampling over 60 different products from around the world.
This is a unique place to visit in Atlanta. The history and one of a kind learning are two things you do not want to pass up while you are in the area.
As this great city continues to grow, the latest estimates place its population at about 486, 411, but the 20-county Atlanta Metropolitan Statistical Area counts more than 5 million residents. Another appropriate measure of the city’s growth is the ever changing skyline which is unlimited by its location free from mountain ranges, lakes, rivers, oceans, etc.
The growth is undeniable with condominium developments springing up over night and old, rundown properties disappearing by the day. Even in Buckhead, a once noisy and raucous viagra without prescription bar district, most of the taverns have been razed and work is underway on what developers are aspiring to make a Rodeo Drive of the Southeast.
Also, many office and residential towers are sprouting about throughout the midtown, downtown and outer perimeters in the business districts. Residents could surely attest to the increase in traffic jams, crowds, higher prices and the subdivisions that continue to branch out and take over the surrounding rural areas.
Atlanta is also still known as a transportation hub as it was once built as the terminus of the Western and Atlantic Railroad. The city now is home to the world’s busiest international airport, the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
It serves almost 89 million passengers annually including those with direct flights to Europe, South America, Africa and Asia. Atlanta is also a headquarters for many Fortune 500 companies like Home Depot, Coca-Cola, United Parcel Service and SunTrust Banks.
This is not only a great place to visit, but also a fabulous place to live and settle. If you are looking for adventure and community growth, this is a great area for you and your family.
