Atomic Man: My Career as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
I have always been fascinated with technology. One of my dream professions is to be an astronaut, but I have known since I was a child that my parents could not provide me with the education I needed to reach this goal. It was a sad realization at the time, but I have accepted it now.
As a student I worked hard to gain the skills I needed to attend a university. My parents and I were planning on working together so I could reach the next step in education. At that time I was also having difficulties choosing a profession to pursue. To narrow down the list of possible professions, I took some time to research by watching the Discovery Channel and other similar stations. It may not seem like the most active way to research, but it was effective. One day I stumbled upon an episode regarding the operation of complicated equipment in a hospital. As I watched the episode, I saw a similarity between operating the equipment and being an astronaut. When the patient entered the scanner it kind of looked like an astronaut entering a ship. I know it was a superficial comparison, but it intrigued me. I realized operating equipment in a hospital was not the same as being a traditional astronaut, but it looked like a cool job.
After finishing high school, I immediately researched the courses I would need at the university I was planning to attend. I researched Brand Viagra online and also spoke with someone connected to the university. The person I talked to had experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist. She told me what I needed to know in order to decide if the profession was right for me. She not only discussed the positive aspects of the profession, but the negative as well. I didn’t mind hearing about the negative parts of the work, because all I could think about was obtaining the degree that prepared me for what I thought was the coolest job on the planet.
The following fall I began to study at the university, and I slowly made my way through my studies, working part-time during the day and attending classes at night. At times I wanted to quit, but my parents were there to help me through it. Thanks to my Levitra Professional parents and the motivation of my dream job, I graduated with flying colors. After graduation, I followed my plan for obtaining my license to be a true Nuclear Medicine Technologist. For me this was the true test I had been waiting for and the final lap before I could enter my desired profession.
After I took the license exam I had to wait for the results, which was the hardest part. When the results came I was so happy to see that I passed, because it meant I was qualified to start practicing in the profession. Later I felt very blessed when I landed a good job at one of the largest hospitals in my city. My first day was so exciting, even though it was not as hands on as my days are now. As a new member of the field I was still learning my work and making my way through the process. Now I am the head Nuclear Medicine Technologist of the same hospital. My profession never fails to be exciting. It may not be perfect, but it brightens my day when I realize how far I have come.
