Carrie Underwood Tickets – Carrie Underwood Wins Big at ACMs
Country music megastar Carrie Underwood is no stranger to the glitz and grandeur of awards shows, Kamagra Soft and it would seem that any accolade she’s handed from here on out is just another piece of hardware to add to her ever-growing trophy collection. At the recent Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards in Las Vegas, however, the “Cowboy Casanova” chanteuse crossed the threshold of one very monumental milestone. Winning her second consecutive Entertainer of the Year award at April’s ACMs, Underwood became the first female artist to ever win the award – the whopper of the night – twice in a row.
Beating out fellow country music icons Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, Taylor Swift, George Strait, Keith Urban and Zac Brown Band for Entertainer of the Year, Carrie Underwood came onto the stage to collect her ACM trophy, giving an emotional acceptance speech as she passed around credit for her booming career.
She said in her speech, “Thank you guys! Praise the Lord. Thank you Simon Fuller [and] everybody at 19 Entertainment, you guys mean so much to me. Thank you everybody at Arista. Joe [Galante, departing chairman of Sony Music Nashville], we are going to miss you so much… Everybody that’s been with my career from the beginning. Thank you Mike [Fisher, her fiance] – I love you so much. Mom, my sisters, my family, fans – God bless you so much. Thank you country music. God bless country music!” The beaming vocalist also took home the Triple Crown Award at this year’s ACMs, which she was awarded for garnering Entertainer No prescription cialis of the Year as well as claiming past wins for Top New Artist and Top Female Vocalist.
While Carrie Underwood has accomplished so very much for a 27-year-old who just a few years ago was singing her heart out for a spot in the Top 12 of a televised singing competition, she’s not stepping out of the limelight for a breather anytime soon. The native Oklahoman and former American Idol champion has recently added another leg onto her current Play On Tour, which will now run through Christmas. Underwood is currently on the road with Craig Morgan (soon to be replaced by Billy Currington) supporting her most recent album Play On, and Carrie Underwood tickets are hot items on the concert front this season.
She’s certainly one of the biggest celebrities in the entire music industry these days, but Carrie Underwood isn’t collecting fame without giving back to local communities. Underwood recently announced that she’d donate 36 cents – a figure in reference to a lyric from her song “Change” – from every concert ticket sold to dates on her fall tour and donate the accumulated money to the Save the Children organization. Save the Children aids children in need around the world in times of hardship including war, natural disasters, economic disparity and health problems.
For Carrie Underwood, the girl next door from Checotah, Okla., a flourishing country music career is everything she could have asked for and more. The chirpy vocalist got her start in the music industry when she auditioned for and made the 2005 season of the televised singing competition American Idol, and she ended up winning the entire competition, propelling her into a full-blown country music career practically overnight.
Underwood has been an absolute asset to the contemporary country music scene ever since, and all three of her studio albums so far – 2005’s Some Hearts, 2007’s Carnival Ride and 2010’s Play On – have reached No. 1 on the Billboard charts, signaling that the great Ms. Carrie Underwood is here for the long haul.
