Exciting Things to See and Do in San Francisco
If you are headed to the Bay Area or if you already live there, you are probably wondering what some good activities are in San Francisco. This popular city is full of excitement and plenty of attractions.
Whether you are a local looking for a night out or a vacationer looking to fill your week, there’s plenty to see and do as you visit the great city of San Francisco. The first spot and probably one of the most popular attractions is Fisherman’s Wharf.
This Wharf is a fun spot to take a stroll as you window shop, watch the street entertainers, or get a bite to eat at one of the restaurants serving fresh seafood. As you are walking, make sure to stop at Pier 39.
Pier 39 is probably the most popular spot on Fisherman’s Wharf and is home to tons of sea lions! These sea lions have literally taken over the pier and can be seen basking in the sun each day.
They can also get quite noisy and are definitely a site to see! As for seafood, there are many delicious restaurants along the Wharf.
One popular thing to try out is the clam chowder in a bread bowl; which is served at many different places. It is popular because the clam is great and the sourdough bread bowl is another unique thing that has made San Francisco famous.
Another great place to visit at the Wharf is the Aquarium of the Bay. This Aquarium features over 20,000 aquatic animals.
Ghirardelli Square is another fun spot to enjoy a little shopping as well as sample Cialis Jelly some delicious chocolate. Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Museum is also situated on Fisherman’s Wharf.

This museum is home to more than 250 lifelike wax figures. While you are there you will want to take pictures with your favorites to take home and show all of your friends.
Your friends might even think you met the real celebrity since the wax figures look very real. After visiting the Wharf you will want to head over to the famous Golden Gate Bridge!
This amazing, beautiful bridge has become an icon for the city and is recognized around the globe. Visitors are allowed to drive, walk or even bike across the bridge.
On one side of the bridge there is also a visitor’s center and a restaurant. After visiting the bridge, check out Golden Gate Park.
This huge park has so much to offer. You will find a flower conservatory, a lake where you can rent boats, an art museum, an arboretum, a Japanese Tea Garden, children’s playgrounds, and plenty of open space to participate in all of your favorite outdoor activities.
It is also a great place for a drive or a walk. For those who love shopping, San Francisco is definitely a great city for you.
Shoppers will love Silagra walking through all of the fun shops in Chinatown, the largest outside of Asia as well as the oldest in North America. This neighborhood is full of shops and restaurants all influenced by Asian culture.
If you are looking for some upscale shopping, check out Union Square. Here you will find plenty of upscale boutiques and department stores.
One last great shopping destination is the Cannery. What once used to be the home of the Del Monte fruit canning plant is now a place full of shops and restaurants.
As you walk along you will also be able to enjoy the interesting architecture and the lovely waterfront views. Another thing you may want to do while you are on the west coast is check out the beach.
Ocean Beach is probably the most popular in the area and is a great getaway from the city. It is a nice spot to relax and take a walk while watching the waves.
However, it is not recommended for visitors to get into the water due to the cold temperatures and the harsh waves. San Francisco also has plenty of interesting museums including the Cable Car Museum, Mission Dolores, the Chinese Culture Museum, and the National Maritime Museum.
San Francisco is full of so many things to do. You will definitely have a great time!
