Family Fun in Philadelphia

Philadelphia is a great city full of history and attractions. You may be a family that already lives in the area or you may be a family just visiting for a short time, either way, Philadelphia has a lot to offer you and your kids.

Here is a list of some of the top family things to do in Philadelphia. One thing this city has to offer is a lot of museums.

For kids, the Please Touch Museum is always a great one to visit. Your children will have a fun time as they learn and discover through touch.

A few of the exhibits include flying fantasy, the world of Alice in Wonderland, and a carousel. The Franklin Institute features many exhibits including one about science for kids.

The Academy of Natural Sciences is a natural history museum with actual dinosaur skeletons and a habitat with live butterflies. One last family-friendly museum is the Independence Seaport Museum.

This museum offers ferry rides and exhibits about boats. A few visitor centers can also be good places to take the kids.

You can take a tour and explore the magic of color, light and other art techniques. The Philadelphia Duck tours are a water and land adventure where you will get to see the city.

Trolley Works is another fun way to see the city while riding in a trolley or a horse drawn carriage. While on your trip, you will also need to find a spot to eat.
