“Getting Your Butt in Shape While Watching TV at Home”
If you are longing for the toned, muscular, slim body you see on models in the commercials, you can get it! Well, at least you can get close to it.
The best part-it can be done from the comfort of your own living room! You don’t even need to turn off your TV.
To get started, begin to simply fidget when you watch your shows. Your mother may have told you to not fidget growing up, but now, science is encouraging it!
Believe it or not, those who fidget throughout the day burn up to three hundred and fifty more calories during the day! If that isn’t easy enough, I don’t know what is.
If you have any kind of exercise equipment, move it in front of the TV. Make it impossible to avoid.
It isn’t hard to get an hour long workout in if you are involved in a TV show or movie you are watching. Time seems to fly by and you are burning fat the entire time.
Whether you have a stationary bike, an elliptical machine, or a treadmill, move that thing in front of your tube. It doesn’t need to be a clothes hanger anymore!
Next, become a commercial warrior. See how many push-ups, lunges, crunches, or squats you can do during a commercial break.
When the break is over, you can rest until the next commercial. This is a great way to get boosts of energy, while toning and building muscle.
Some great “commercial” abdominal workouts include the bicycle workout, and the reverse crunch. For the bicycle, begin by lying flat on the floor, with your lower back pressed to the ground.
Put your hands beside your head, and bring your knees up to about a forty five degree angle. Slowly go through a bicycle pedal motion.
While you do this, touch your left elbow to your right knee, then your right elbow to your left knee. Be sure to breathe evenly, and keep a steady pace.
For the reverse crunch, lie on your back with knees bent and feet Cialis on the floor. Place your hands on the floor, or behind the head.
Bring your knees up towards the chest, so they bend at about a ninety degree angle. Contract your abs, and lift your hips off the floor in a very small movement.
Lower your butt back down on the ground, and repeat this several times. Be careful to relax the lower back.
These are such simple ways to get into shape while watching your favorite TV show. During your actual show, as silly as it may seem, walk in place.
March your legs up and down-it may seem like this isn’t doing a whole lot, but you will be surprised the burn you will begin to feel! This is a great way to shave off the calories from dinner, or earn that cookie waiting for you in the kitchen.
There are many free cable channels that offer workout videos, programs, and more. Move along with them, and you may find some you really enjoy.
They are usually very motivating, and will keep you working hard. You don’t even have to sign any gym contracts!
Another tip is to lunge your way around the house-if you want an intense burn, see how far you can get, one lunge at a time, before you can’t take it anymore. Lunges are a fantastic way to tone your thighs, and get the shape you are looking for.
Move your way from room to room in deep lunges, and you will be well on your way to looking hot in no time. Another way to get in shape is to invest in a set of hand weights.
Getting some simple dumbbells will help to tone your arms, without having to miss out on the TV special. Do some arm presses, standing flys, or tricep pushes.
Stand with your feet slightly apart, and raise your left arm in an arc over your head, as though you are reaching toward your other side. Hold for a moment, then release. Repeat this step using your right arm.
Simple exercises like this, will give you good looking arms in no time. As you can see, there are simple ways to tone your body without having to even turn off the TV.
