The state of Colorado offers many exciting things to do. Colorado is known for many of its outdoor activities.
During the winter, visitors enjoy skiing and snowboarding in the mountains. If you love winter sports, this state offers over 50 different mountain resorts including Breckenridge, Eldora, Beaver Run, Vail Cascade, and Echo Mountain.
During the summer biking, hiking, rafting, rock climbing and other outdoor activities can all be found. If you love the outdoors a few places you may want to check out are Colorado River Runs, a place for floats on the Colorado River.
Denver Adventures, which offers mountain biking, hiking, rafting and sightseeing. Another fun way to see Colorado would be to take a hot air balloon ride.
For nature lovers, check out the Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve. Here you will see wildlife and play in the dunes.
Colorado also offers hundreds of golf courses. Head out onto the green and enjoy a day of golf amidst the beautiful mountainous backdrop.
If you love shopping you may want to check out Colorado’s largest outdoor marketplace, Mile High Marketplace. This popular shopping destination features over 80 acres of shops.
Another beautiful open-air center for shopping is Twenty-Ninth Street located in Boulder. It features more than 70 specialty shops.
If you love Outlet Malls you will successfully find them in Castle Rock, Silverthorne, and Loveland. If you’re looking for a different way to tour the state, why not try a Soaring Tree Top Adventure?
This Zip-line course allows visitors to soar more than a mile through the forest. If you’re looking for something exciting and different check out Pikes Peak Country Attractions in Manitou Springs.
Here guests travel across the world’s highest suspension bridge, witness stunning rocks, and see America’s only mountain zoo. If you love the Olympics then visit the U.S. Olympic Complex.
Situated in Colorado Springs, free tours are given Monday through Saturday. If you’re headed to Glenwood Springs you could go on a guided Segway tour of the area.
Other attractions for the family are the Wild Animal Sanctuary, a spot northeast of Denver where you can view more than 200 lions, tigers, bears, cougars, wolves and other carnivores. The Downtown Aquarium is also a fun family spot.
One thing you don’t want to miss at the aquarium is the Aquarium Restaurant. Guests who dine there will be surrounded by a 150,000 gallon aquarium.
If holidays are your thing, you may want to check out Santa’s Workshop, a Christmas-themed amusement park in Cascade. This park features more than two dozen family rides, village shops and shows.

Always wanted to live in the country? Then visit Laramie River Dude Ranch.

Another spot with Western style is the Flying W Ranch. This Western town serves BBQ suppers and has a world-class show.
