Starting a garden can be a lot of work, but with enough planning and enough preparation you can make sure that your garden is worth the effort. There are not a lot of people that understand how much work can be done ahead of time.

When you are starting to get the land ready you should first remove all of the plants that are currently in the soil. This may require a lot of hard work, but it is absolutely necessary to the health of your new plants.

When you are getting the plants out you may have a problem with how hard the soil is. If the soil is hard or exceptionally rocky you will want to wet down the area that you are trying to get the plants out of.
As the soil softens, you should have a much easier time getting the difficult plants out. Make sure that you do not flood the land, but instead give it just enough water to soak up all of the way.
Before wetting down the weeds and grass in your plot you are going to want to start by spraying down the area with a weed killer. This will help loosen up the problem weeds that are going to be stubborn.
