Lady Gaga Tickets – Gaga Gets Grounded After Yankees Clubhouse Incident
Oh, Gaga. Will your troublesome antics never end?
Usually, Lady Gaga’s fame monster is satiated by dressing in something colorful, revealing and slightly ridiculous. But when she went to visit a Yankees game June 20, she at least made an effort to dress appropriately, donning a striped Yankees jersey over her bra and underwear – with fishnet stockings on, of course. She is a lady, after all; it’s right there in her name.
But it wasn’t her clothes as much as her conduct that upset Yankees owner Hal Steinbrenner. The New York Post (whose delicious headline Levitra on the story was “Gross Gaga’s a Skankee”) reported that the 24-year-old allegedly swigged whiskey and fondled her breasts while hanging out in the clubhouse. Needless to say, Steinbrenner wasn’t happy and laid down the law on when celebrities could be in there without prior approval. Gaga had apparently sweet-talked stadium security into letting her in after the team’s loss to the Mets.
Although the Post first reported that Gaga was banned for life, ESPN followed up with General Manager Brian Cashman, who said it was more a matter of policy. “She’s not banned,” he said. “Celebrities aren’t banned. If Michael Jordan showed up here he would have access [to the clubhouse], but not after a loss.”
This isn’t the first time that Gaga has raised hell in a baseball stadium, either. The Post notes that on June 10, she caused an upset at Citi Field, showing up in the fifth inning and throwing “a tantrum” when she was seated in the first row. The team moved her to Jerry Seinfeld’s luxury box, where she flipped off the crowd while having a few beers.
Seinfeld, by the way, isn’t happy either. “This woman’s a jerk. I hate her,” he told WFAN Radio when interviewed about the kerfuffle. “I can’t believe they put her in my box, which I paid for.” The comedian didn’t seem to know whether to let her off the hook or let her have both barrels. “I wish her the best…you take one ‘A’ off of that and you’ve got gag.”
He seemed to acknowledge that age might have something to do with the fact that he can’t quite seem to get his head around what this woman is about. “I’m older, I’m 56. I look at Lady Gaga the way Keith Hernandez watches these kids when they pull the pocket out, they wear the inside-out pocket. Do you think he understands that? He can’t understand that. That’s a new game, that’s kids.”
Kids is right. Gaga has gotten comfy living at the top of the Billboard charts, to say nothing of baseball luxury boxes and clubhouses. But younger fans do seem to love her and are buying her records in insane numbers.
The only celebrity that seems to be giving her love these days, however, is Harry Potter.
When asked about the star, actor Daniel Radcliffe told MTV News: “I think she’s kind of amazing. She’s really got a voice. My god, you know? Not my kind of music particularly, but she can really sing.”
But he also was quoted as saying, “I’m so out of the loop when it comes to pop culture that I kind of don’t even try anymore.” Kamagra Soft He and Seinfeld should trade notes. In any case, Gaga throws an excellent live show when she’s on stage, as well. Get Lady Gaga tickets online today.
