NBA Tickets – Looking into the Free Agency Crystal Ball

Now that the NBA Finals are over, it’s time to turn our attention to the draft and free agency. This year’s free agent crop is stacked with big names, and it’s difficult to get a read on where players could be leaning toward signing.

Here are my educated guesses on where the top free agents will land this summer as of June 18th:
LeBron James: LeBron is the crown jewel of this free agent class. He’s probably the best player in the NBA and still getting better. Whichever team gets him this offseason will get him for what is likely to be his prime, and a level of King James that we’ve never seen before. His choice will probably come down to Cleveland, Chicago, Miami and New York. When it comes down to it, I believe he will put the potential for winning a title above all else and join the Bulls. He would be playing in Michael Jordan’s shadow somewhat, but with Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah already in place in the Windy City, the addition of LeBron would instantly make the Bulls a title contender.

Dwyane Wade: In any other year, Wade would be the prize of the offseason. LeBron’s presence in the free agent class seems to be allowing Wade to fly under the radar a bit. I think there is little chance that he leaves Miami, mainly because he’s comfortable there and management will probably go and get him another star player this summer (more on who that could be later). The Heat don’t have a very deep roster, but they’ve got cap space and some potential trading chips, namely Michael Beasley, if he’s still got any value.

Chris Bosh: Bosh is one of the tougher guys to project, mainly because we don’t really know his mindset. Does he want to be the alpha dog, or is he willing to be a complimentary player? I’ve got a feeling that he wants to be the main man, which would eliminate the possibility of him pairing with James or Wade anywhere.

As of now, I think New Jersey is a real option. This would only be the case, though, if the Sixers passed on Evan Turner in this month’s draft and the Nets scooped up the Ohio State star with the third pick. The Sixers’ recent trade with Sacramento could signal that they’re leaning toward selecting Georgia Tech big man Derrick Favors with the second overall pick in the draft. With a core of Turner, Brook Lopez, Devin Harris, Courtney Lee and Terrence Williams, an impending move to Brooklyn and a new owner committed to winning, I think the Nets would have a great chance at luring Bosh. For now I’ll say New Jersey, but if the Sixers draft Turner, you can probably toss that out the window.

Dirk Nowitzki: I was a bit surprised to see Dirk opt out of his contract with the Mavericks, but then it became more understandable when it was revealed that the move gave the team more flexibility this summer. I fully expect Dirk to rejoin Dallas and am not buying into the rumors of a potential reunion with Steve Nash in Phoenix.

Joe Johnson: Johnson’s stock cooled a bit thanks to his struggles in the postseason, but he’s still a major target. He’s a tough guy to get a read on, Cialis Professional but I think there’s a good chance he ends up in New York if the Knicks strike out with the top-tier guys. Mike D’Antoni will probably push for Donnie Walsh to sign him, as he coached him in Phoenix and the two had success together.

Amare Stoudemire: I fully expected Amare to re-sign with the Suns after their run to the Conference Finals this postseason, but the departure of Steve Kerr has changed my mind. My thinking now is that Amare bolts town to head to South Beach and play with Dwyane Wade for a near-max deal.

Carlos Boozer: If everything detailed above were to unfold, Boozer would find himself with limited options. The only two teams I could see him signing with at that point would be Utah and Oklahoma City. I’m not so sure OKC would want Boozer, though, especially for his asking price, and I think he’d be most likely to return to the Jazz on a shorter deal than initially expected.

Rudy Gay: I would not be Kamagra Gold surprised to see a team give Gay major money this offseason and lure him away from Memphis. The club mostly likely to do this appears to be the Clippers, who have a gaping hole at the three and seem to be on the rise. With Gay and Blake Griffin in place, the Clips could have a bright future.

David Lee: Lee’s name might not sell NBA tickets as well as the rest of the guys on this list, but he belongs here none the less. When it’s all said and done, though, I expect him to return to the Knicks, as long as the team misses out on Chris Bosh.
