A well respected female physician recounts how she took some time out for the odd party as she envisioned achieving her current status by a roundabout route, a tribute to the unswerving purpose of her meaningful life.

Her true intention was to enter medicine but the she opted to enter through Natural Sciences first and after she will shift to medicine on her second year.

She could not transfer for she did not perform so well but then she admits to having a good time. Instead of scoring A’s, she only got B’s.

With her love for chemistry and this reason, she resolutely vowed to finish the degree.

She majored in food technology and chemistry for she was so engrossed in the latter. Her honors degree arrived in the field.

There was not a single job out there for her right after she graduated. She wasn’t employed in the first year she got out of the university.

Jobs seemed like they didn’t exist. As she searched for one, she looked to the food industry. While in front of discouragement, she’d ask why she ever allowed herself to get into this.

The only one that was able to give her a job was a man that dealt with drugs who saw her proficiency with the business of manufacturing kettles.

According to her, she did get offered a lot of money but then she was not tempted at all and she told him point blank that she was brought up knowing that money is not everything.

She held on to her dreams of becoming a doctor as she kept applying in medical school. She agreed to a teaching job with a heavy heart that still hopes to hear from medical school soon.

A year later, deciding that she needed to earn money to attend medical school when and if she were accepted, she left the classroom and went to a commercial bank as a trainee manager the next year.

She backtracks to the time when she gathered advice from friends on her situation and even weighed out the pros and cons on her own ? and all pointed out to the fact that she’d just become a mere employee if she just remained with the bank.

After two years, she finally became a medical school student. In year one, she had enjoyment with learning as how it usually is.

She just enjoyed it. She was not a bookworm, but studied enough and partied enough. She bagged honors in community health and was among the top 10 percent in Physiology in her first year.

She got closer to a lot of people and that is why she loved community medicine. You get to know how the lives of your patients went as you enter the homes. She thought that the program was brilliant.
