Roda Golf Course
Dave Thomas, the internationally renowned golf architect has created an 18 hole, 72 par golf course found at Roda Golf Resort. Built to the highest standards as expected, each and every golfer is guaranteed an enjoyable experience over the picturesque course. The primarily flat land has been cleverly transformed into an interesting and challenging golfing terrain to provide golfers with a strategic round of golf. Over the 55 hectares of land, many native Mediterranean trees and shrubs have been planted to uphold the natural beauty of the surrounding area. Providing golfers with refreshments, situated on the first floor in the club house is the Collados de Roda restaurant while overlooking the stunning views over the whole course. Changing room facilities and a large well equipped golf pro shop is found on the ground floor. At the golf shop, it is also possible to rent golf equipment.

Roda Golf Course Hole 1: Par 5 – 500 metres
The opening drive has been designed to encourage a positive attitude to your game of golf right from the start. Depending upon individual ability, the bunker on the corner can be carried or played safely to the left. Defined by a large bunker to the left hand side which extends down the fairway, the elevated green produces choice of the second shot; important in the strategy of the hole. Positive play encouraged results in a good par.

Roda Golf Course Hole 2: Par 3 – 207 metres
Early on in the round you will face this long and exciting par 3 hole. The green is mostly covered from the right hand side by a large bunker and again an elevated green means it is necessary for a well struck iron shot. With flag placements to the left side, the green will look generous, although flags placed to the right can look rather daunting next to the bunker.

Roda Golf Course Hole 3: Par 4 – 410 metres
Hole 3 is the first of Kamagra the two back to back par 4’s. A demanding drive is required on the elevated landing area between two bunkers. Difficult for the amateur player, a medium to long iron approach shot to the raised platform green is required. Difficulty may arise particularly as the green is guarded by a deep bunker to the left, catching a few out from time to time. The more confident golf player will be drawn more to attacking the hole. A game strategy is required for the handicap player.

Roda Golf Course Hole 4: Par 4 – 404 metres
This fourth hole requires an accurate shot from the elevated tee for any chance. As with the previous hole, the landing area is protected by two bunkers that need to be accurately negotiated. A medium to long iron is necessary for the second shot to pass large bunkers on the front of the green to the right hand side. Making this the hardest hole on the first 9 holes is the hidden flag positions that can become hidden behind difficult roles on the green.

Roda Golf Course Hole 5: Par 5 – 442 metres
With a relatively short par 5, this is a good opportunity for a birdie. To negotiate safely past the big bunker on the left hand side a good drive is important. Following this shot, the green will become opened up to encourage a good attacking second or third shot for opportunities to score a birdie.

Roda Golf Course Hole 6: Par 4 – 370 metres
Consisting of a straight hole, you are able to view everything including the surrounding deep bunkers. With a length of 370 metres, it is important that you hit the fairway due to the deep bunkers to the front and sides of the green. Be aware not to take a too powerful shot as to the rear of the green is a roll off valley. Although this hole is a short par 4, it will still incorporate interesting challenges to any golfer – depending on the flag position.

Roda Golf Course Hole 7: Par 3 – 174 metres
The signature hole of the Roda golf course is without doubt this par 3 hole. With a green located on a small island across a lake, it is clear to see Dave Thomas created this course from these characteristics. Accuracy is everything as you use a short to medium iron successfully overcoming the water hazard. Providing entertainment to those watching, this hole is situated in front of the club house. Those who inaccurately fall into the water, there is a dropping zone in the trees approximately 30 metres from the green.

Roda Golf Course Hole 8: Par 4 – 328 metres
You will find very little trouble from the tee with a relatively easy par 4. However, you will soon discover that all of the challenging problems and hazards including deep pot bunkers are found at the undulating green to catch missed approach shots.

Roda Golf Course Hole 9: Par 4 – 393 metres
A classic golf hole design is found to complete the first 9 holes. Placed between mounds, bunkers and deep rough zone is the green Viagra Jelly that can be seen in the distance. Ignoring the flags, golfers must play to the left hand side as two pot bunkers are located on the right. Providing interesting flag positions are the undulating green. The lake bordering the left hand side of the green should not be ignored as a potential hazard.
