Selecting Trees to Plant in a Small Yard
Trees are a great addition to every yard. They are beautiful, make oxygen, and provide shade on a hot day.
However, some yards are more limiting to the number, type, or size of trees that can be planted in them. Despite these limitations, even small yards should be adorned with trees.
One type of tree that can fit well in a small yard is the American Hornbeam. This tree is also known as an Ironwood.
This tree is very pretty in many locations. When fully grown, this tree will reach a height and spread of 20 to 30 feet.
This tree provides excellent shade from the sun. The texture of the bark looks like muscles and has a smooth, gray color.
In the fall, this tree turns orange to yellow. In some areas this tree has been reported as very difficult to transplant however.
Another favorite tree that can grow in small yards is the Amur Maple. This tree has absolutely stunning color in the fall.
The Amur Maple is low-growing, which makes it ideal for small yards. This tree can grow in a stemmed clump, or if trimmed, can be a small tree with a trunk that grows four to six feet tall.
This tree has a lot of branches, so it may need some pruning early on if you want to create a few larger branches. This is an ideal tree to plant if there are power lines above where you plan to plant because it remains so short.
Crabapple trees are also popular in small yards. These trees like sunny areas that have a lot of air and average soil.
However, these trees do not like excess water. The size of the crabapple, flower color, fruit color and growth and branching habit all vary.
Most varieties of crab apple trees span a 20 foot sphere. Some crab apple trees have stunning fall colors and other trees have will only bloom every other year.
The Eastern Redbud is also a very popular small tree. This tree grows fairly quickly to 20 to 30 feet tall. It has red bark with purple/red Brand Levitra leave that change to greenish-purple towards the end of the summer.

Another popular, beautiful tree is the flowering dogwood. The flowering dogwood is the state tree of Virginia.
This feminine tree grows to be 20 to 35 feet tall with a 25 to 30 foot spread. This tree can be cultivated to have one main trunk or several.
The flowers have yellow centers with white, pink, red or a combination of these three colors of petals. The dogwood also produces a red fruit that birds like to eat.
The Goldenraintree is another good choice for a small yard. This tree grows to be slightly bigger with a 30 to 40 foot spread.
The wood is weak, but insects rarely infest these trees because of it. These trees have beautiful panicles loaded with stunningly bright yellow flowers.
These trees do like to spread and are considered to be invasive in certain tropical parts of North America. However, this tree can tolerate dryness Tadacip very well.
This tree also does not provide very much shade. This tree is often used in parking lots and to line streets because it can fit into spaces where there is not very much soil or space for growth overhead.
The Goldenraintree grows at a medium rate and blooms in May throughout July. This tree can add a lot of bright color to a landscape.
The Hedge Maple is a low-branched tree with a very round shape. The branches are usually slender that branch many times.
This provides an intricate interior that can be very interesting to look at during the winter when the leaves are gone. This tree grows very slowly, but will ultimately reach a height of 30 to 35 feet tall.
The Hedge Maple commonly graces residential areas and other urban sites. However, it is not recommended for areas that are restricted by power lines.
It does provide excellent shade because it is so dense. There are many more options and varieties of trees that will fit excellently in small yards.However, these trees are stunningly beautiful and can enhance a variety of different landscapes.
