Successfully Detecting a Counterfeit Dollar Bill
Everybody in the world loves money. It’s what makes the world go round.
From the creation of the dollar bill and its beginning of use in the American monetary system, I guess that there have been billions and billions Kamagra jelly of bills in circulation around the country and the world; and that’s probably just for the one dollar!
Everybody has it, and it can do so many things. Money can buy you a candy bar at the grocery store, or millions of dollars can be traded on the world stock markets through buying and selling of stocks.
There Cialis Jelly is sheer power in money. That is why many people spare no pains at going to great lengths to make “fake” money.
That’s right: counterfeit bills. We have all heard of them, and you’ve probably been in possession of one without even knowing it because they are floating around everywhere.
Counterfeiters want to make the most genuine piece of currency they possibly can. That way they can easily print off millions of units in minutes, and have millions of dollars at their fingertips that they can use.
To do this they have to make the fake currency as close to the real one as possible. Modern technology has helped scammers become experts at making a fake dollar look real.
So how exactly can you tell a real dollar bill from a counterfeit one? There are some telltale signs and I’m here to tell you about them:
Human portrait: The first thing you can do is look at the currency’s portrait, or the face of whichever president happens to be on the bill at that time.
On a real dollar, the features of the president’s face will be very defined. His eyes will look lifelike, and his facial features should stand out from the background and jump out at you.
If it is a counterfeit, the portrait won’t do that. It might have mistakes when you look closely at it or it won’t be very defined and it won’t jump out at your eyes very much.
Federal Reserve and Treasury Seals: This is the second way you can tell between fake and real. You can look at the seals that are placed upon every dollar.
In a real one, the seal will be bordered by “teeth” that will line the entire seal. The “teeth” will be crisp and sharp all the way around the seal.
In a fake one, the “teeth” will be blurry or hazy, and won’t be very defined. Once you see that, you know you have a counterfeit on your hands.
Serial Number: The next thing you should look at is the serial number. There are a couple things on this number that can set you off to foul play.
The serial number on a real one will be the same color as the Treasury Seal. If the number is off-color slightly or not even the same color at all, then you’re working with a counterfeit.
Also, a counterfeit will show a serial number that is not evenly spaced or will not line up right. One of the numbers might be crooked or the whole arrangement will be slightly bent.
Red and Blue Fibers: You can also look at this telltale sign between a real and a fake. To crack down on thieves, the U.S. government has woven red and blue fibers into each and every bill that are sometimes hard to duplicate.
Counterfeiters will try, though. They will print red and blue lines on the paper to make it look like they are real.
Everything matches: You would think that scammers would cover every detail, but some thieves are stupid and make this classic mistake that make it easy to spot a fake.
Some people will change the number in the corners to make it look like it has more value. This might seem right to them, but then they forget to change the picture in the middle also.
This means you might have a $20 bill on your hands, but you look in the middle and it is the picture that is supposed to be on the $5 currency. This is an easy mistake to spot.
