Other countries might prefer this vehicle of choice because it is friendlier to the environment. Or they might choose it because it is more cost-efficient and it will save their family a ton of money.
Whatever, you will definitely see more people turning the pedal rather than pushing on it. The world of bicycles is so much more in depth than many places in America.
We citizens of the United States might have ridden a bike to the store when we were a little kid, but after we got our driver’s license we probably didn’t ever set foot on a bicycle very often.

There are many more types of bikes out there than the one that your mom gave you for your birthday when you were 10 years old. Here are some different models that you may not have encountered very often:

Recumbents: These have become more popular over the last several decades. You might have seen a person that has been riding a bike but it looks like they are sitting down.
They are actually riding a recumbent model. They are built this way so that the rider can have more comfort and they can be more relaxed.
On this model, the foot pedals and chain can be located in front of the rider. The handlebars can be located either over the person or under them, depending on the type of recumbent it is.
Stationary: These have become staples in fitness centers and gyms all over the world. They are not only convenient, but they can provide an intense workout to anybody that jumps on one.
