Video Conferencing – The Wave of the Future!

Back in days gone by, kids used to watch The Jetsons or Star Trek or any number of other shows and you could watch people talk to each other through television on these fantasy shows. Who knew that in a few short decades, this technological innovation would not only be available to most of the general public, but at a cost that is truly not that prohibitive–especially given the rising costs of fuel and other travel-related expenses. What used to barely be thinkable, let alone doable, is quickly becoming something that will become a norm for our country and a lot of the rest of the world. That is the technology Kamagra Gold of video conferencing.

The beginnings of this technology go clear back to pre-World War II to the invention of television. Two closed-circuit televisions could be linked with cable and the birth of this started at that point. Mostly ignored throughout the next couple of decades, the evolution of manned space flights engendered interest in this technology once again. However, it did not really even become practical in any manner until the 1980’s and the development of digital telephony. Larger companies could spring for the cost of video conferencing then but it still was not practical for a home user. With the invention of internet protocol (IP) in the 1990’s, the ability to use video conferencing leaped into the world of personal commuting and then this technology really took off.

What does all of this mean for today’s world? Well, a whole lot. Many companies are turning to this far more affordable technology to conduct business meetings, seminars, etc. The much less expensive cost of the technology is offset by not paying employees for mileage, hotel rooms, etc. Information can be disseminated for the corporation, but at a reduced cost (and reduced liability in terms of accidents–workman’s compensation). A big “win” for the corporate world!

Also, a big “win” for the individual. This technology has recently steamrolled into the dellular market and companies like Skype and others are making video conferencing available on a more personal level. This trend is only going to continue–one can either hop on board with the technology or stay in the land am radio, UHF/VHF televisions, VCR’s, etc. Or, you can choose to participate in the things we only dreamed about not that many years ago.
