Here is a little bit Levitra Professional of history about Barack Obama. He was born on August 4, 1961 and is the 44th and current President of the United States.

Additionally, he is the first African American to hold this government office. He previously served as a United States Senator for the state of Illinois which really got his career going.

He held his Senator position from January 2005 until his resignation for the presidential campaign of November 2008. He is a native of Honolulu, Hawaii and is a graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Law School.

After his academic life, he became the president of the Harvard Law Review for a short time. Later, he was a community organizer in Chicago before he earned his law degree.

Also on his list of accomplishments, he was a civil rights attorney in Chicago and taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School from 1992 until 2004. He then went on to serve three terms in the Illinois Senate between the years of 1997 and 2004.

After he was denied for his trial of being in a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in 2000, he decided to run for the United States Senate in 2004. He gained national attention during his campaign due to several events like his victory in the March 2004 Democratic primary and his keynote address at the Democratic National Convention in July 2004.

His election to the U.S. Senate in November 2004 was a success and then his presidential campaign began in February 2007. After a close campaign in the 2008 Democratic Party presidential primaries against Hillary Rodham Clinton, he won his party’s nomination.

Things were looking up, so in the 2008 general election, he then defeated Republican nominee John McCain and was subsequently inaugurated as President of the United States on the historic day of January 20, 2009.

As president, he has signed the economic stimulus legislation in the form of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act in February of 2009. Also, in October of 2009, Obama was named the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize.

Then, in March 2010, he signed the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act which was then put into law as a piece of the health care reform legislation which has picked up quite a bit of controversy. As far as foreign policy is concerned, Obama began a gradual withdrawal of troops from Iraq, increased troop amounts in Afghanistan and signed an arms control treaty in cooperation with Russia.

When in Honolulu, he lived with his maternal grandparents, Madelyn and Stanley Armour Dunham and attended Punahou School, a private college preparatory school. From the fifth grade until his graduation from high school in 1979, he remained at that school in Hawaii.

His mother is an Indonesian and returned to Hawaii after divorcing his father in 1972. She stayed there until 1977 when she went back to Indonesia to work as an anthropological field worker.

She died of ovarian cancer after returning to Hawaii to live during her last year of life. This is sure to have had a great impact on the nation’s president.

With a black father and white, Indonesian mother, he was brought up to accept diversity, especially living in Hawaii. After a multicultural and multiracial heritage, he has had a challenging but beneficial upbringing.

His time in Hawaii was where he got his start of mutual respect towards himself and those around him. He has certainly come a very long way from his early childhood and parents’ divorce.

He had to struggle through some of his early years, but it has all gotten him pretty far in the end as he has had to overcome adversity and challenges which have only made him stronger. His country waits to see what he can accomplish in his years as president.
