Regardless of which sport you like, collecting autographed memorabilia and other items is one of the best ways to show you are a true fan. Getting a basketball autographed by your favorite player is a great way to start.

Without this it is very difficult to prove that your item is not a fake. I try to get COAs for all the items I have and I will only purchase items with one. If you are looking to start a collection it is highly recommended that you only start with items that have been proven to be real autographed sports memorabilia. You can start without them, but you must consider this collection to only be a personal one as getting any real value out of these items will be nearly impossible.

The best thing to do to really increase the value of your collection is first make sure everything is certified as authentic. Second thing is to make sure that your basketball autograph collection is focused this way you can become an expert in one field while at the same time increasing its overall value.
