Carrie Underwood Tickets – Wedding Bells for Country Belle
When country star Carrie Underwood got engaged to her hockey star beau Mike Fisher, speculation started swirling around when the big day would be. That day, it turns out, was July 10. Underwood and Fisher exchanged vows in Georgia at the Georgia’s Ritz-Carlton Reynolds Plantation resort with 250 guests in attendance. People Magazine had all the details, and Underwood graced the cover of their magazine glowing in her wedding gown. The gown was designed by Monique Lhuillier and featured Chantilly lace and silk organza. Underwood slipped out of the large gown for the reception, where she donned another Lhuillier creation, a much smaller cocktail dress.
Carrie wasn’t the only one all dolled up for the event. Her rescue dog, Ace, was also on hand, dressed in a glitzy pink tuxedo. The couple released a statement to People, writing, “We could not feel more blessed to have found each other and to have shared this day with our friends and family Tadalis SX that mean so much to us.” Although she probably isn’t changing her name professionally, Underwood may be switching in personally, since the statement was signed “Mike & Carrie Fisher.”
Carrie and Mike weren’t the only celebrity couple to tie the knot that weekend. In another sports star-meets-entertainment-star pairing, Denver Nuggets player Carmelo Anthony wed fiancee LaLa Vazquez. Actors Emily Blunt and John Krasinski (of The Office fame) also married. Underwood and Fisher were photographed on their honeymoon in Tahiti, and hopefully they will get some much needed rest and relaxation before getting back to reality.
Her wedding isn’t the only reason the country star has to celebrate. Pollstar online recently released their list of the top grossing tours from the first half of 2010. The totals count shows from Jan. 1, 2010 to June 30, 2010, they had two different lists, “Top 100 North American Tours” and “Top 50 Worldwide Tours,” and Carrie Underwood landed on both.
She ranked in at number 15 on the North American list with a total of 18.4 million. The total takes into account 54 concerts in the same number of cities. She also ranked in at number 35 on the worldwide list. Fans who want to see her popular concerts can find Carrie Underwood tickets online today.
Underwood also raked in multiple nominations for the upcoming 2010 Teen Choice Awards, which will air on FOX Aug. 9. Underwood isn’t showing signs of slowing down anytime soon, and she will hit the ground running as soon as she returns from her honeymoon.
