CMA Music Festival Tickets – 2010 Headliners Include Some Big Names
The Country Music Awards is the biggest event in country music, and as you might expect, the CMA Music Festival is always packed with the country’s most ardent cowboys and cowgirls. This year will be no different, with a star-studded lineup of headlining acts. These include some of the freshest talent in the industry as well as some veterans that have impressive record-selling credentials behind them.
Still sitting on the fence about whether to get tickets? Don’t wait too long. The closer you get to June 10, 11, 12 and 13, the more likely it is that tickets will be sold out. Here’s some extra incentive: a list of headlining acts you absolutely can’t miss.
Reba McEntire: Reba falls in the “veteran” category of the headliners that we mentioned earlier. With her own television show and Broadway stint in addition to one of the most successful country pop careers of the ’80s, she certainly has star power. She also released an album in 2009, Keep on Loving You, that you can expect her to play some hits off of.
Keith Urban: You don’t have to live on the range in order to play country music. Keith Urban started his country music education while living in Australia, and the Aussie performer has become a hit in both overseas and in the U.S. 2009’s Defying Gravity had a number of fan favorites on it that he’ll be sure to play.
Carrie Underwood: Carrie has come a long way from American Idol, the launching pad that made her a star. Now she has a row of platter discs on her wall and is still earning praise for hit singles like “Cowboy Casanova.” Don’t miss out Underwood’s spunky live performance.
Rascal Flatts: One of the most successful country groups of the moment, Rascal Flatts’ hits are unavoidable on the radio and, though it may be hard to believe, the crew released a greatest hits album just a couple years back. It seems like it was just the other day fans were listening to their breakout songs. Flatts’ most recent number one single is “Here Comes Goodbye.”
Brad Paisley: Paisley doesn’t take himself too seriously, lacing his music with humor and little asides that match his on-stage smirk. He was one of the big figures on the country stage throughout the ’00s, and he’ll be big at the CMA Music Festival, too.
Martina McBride: Who doesn’t love the Celine Dion of country? With her big voice and sound, you can hear her from a mile away, but don’t be afraid to get close to the stage and get a good view of the show.
Lady Antebellum: One of the youngest groups featured on the CMA Music Festival lineup, Lady Antebellum rose to prominence in the latter half of the last decade. These days, they’re pretty Brand Viagra unavoidable. Make sure you see them live.
Zac Brown Band: This year’s Grammy winner for Best New Artist is going to be a popular draw. Make sure you get to the stage early for a good view of the Georgian group.
