Gretchen Wilson Tickets – Gretchen Wilson Set for CMA Music Festival
Every year, there is one place where all of country music’s best come out to play, and fans are invited to come see all the fun. It is the CMA Music Festival, and it is held in downtown Nashville. The 2010 CMA Music Festival will take place from Thur., June 10 to Sun., June 13. Booking a performance at this event is always a landmark even for a country star, and this year “Redneck Woman” star Gretchen Wilson is booked for the Riverfront Park Stage. She will perform on Fri., June 11, and the other talent on that day includes Rodney Atkins, Patty Loveless, Craig Morgan and the Eli Young Band.
The lineup of bands could cause any country fan to swoon at the star power. On Thursday, the lineup includes Diamond Rio, Love and Theft, Jake Owen and Clay Walker. Saturday’s performers at the Riverfront Park Stage will feature talent like Gloriana, Joe Nichols, Emerson Drive and Gretchen Wilson’s friend, Big Kenny. The last day, Sunday, has even more talent like James Otto, Jo Dee Messina, Darryl Worley and Pam Tillis. Along with the stars at the Riverfront Park State, many top names will also be performing at LP Field during the 2010 CMA Music Festival.
Wilson is racking up a slew of landmark performances in recent months, one of which was on April Kamagra 22nd when she performed at the NHL playoff game between the Nashville Predators and Chicago Blackhawks at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. Wilson had rewritten the lyrics to her hit song “Work Hard, Play Harder” for the team. Although the Predators didn’t walk away with the win or the series, fans were still treated to a rendition they are sure to remember.
In May, Gretchen Wilson will team with a longtime friend for another unforgettable event. She will take the stage with Big & Rich’s John Rich in Mobile, Ala. on May 21 for the Spring Hill Toyota “Going Country for a Cure” charity concert at the Greater Gulf State Fairgrounds. One-hundred percent of the proceeds from the show will benefit families affected by Cystic Fibrosis.
Wilson didn’t come from an easy background, spending her teen years living with her mom in a trailer park in Illinois and soon starting to play in and work at a bar. Because of her history, she is qualified to give advice to country music hopefuls. Wilson told The Boot, “You cannot give up on anything. If you’re out there wearing your heart on your sleeve and you’re going to get your feelings hurt every time somebody rejects you, you may really want to rethink what you’re doing because you’ve got to take a lot of rejection. You’ve got to be determined and not give up and fight for what you want in this life.”
Wilson recently released her fourth studio album, I Got Your Country Right Here, which is her first album since 2007’s One of the Boys. Her single “Work Hard, Play Harder” is burning up the country charts, and more singles are sure to follow from this release.
