How To Easily Incorporate Exercise Into Your Daily Life

With the UK having one of the longest working weeks in the whole of the western world, it can seem that we just about have time to socialise, never mind exercise.

However, with just a little thought, everyone can incorporate a certain degree of exercise into their lives and these 4 points show just how easy it can be.

1. Walk rather than drive – one of the downfalls of most people who work on a full time basis and that are looking to lose weight is that they don’t walk as much as they should – or could.

If you work in the middle of Manchester, for example and live on the outskirts, chances are you get the bus or drive in to work. It’s more than likely, however, that if you woke up 30 minutes earlier, you could have a brisk walk into the office, not only providing you with daily exercise, but reducing your fuel costs, too.

They may think that they are being healthy and fit by going to the gym on a regular basis – which they are – but they could include an extra 20 or 30 minutes exercise by walking to the gym, rather than driving there.

2. Take the stairs – OK, so this is not a real possibility if you work on the 25th floor of a building, but generally speaking, if you work on any floor up to the 6th or 7th, you should really think about taking the stairs rather than getting the lift.

4. Get a dog – there aren’t many better things to motivate you to do something than knowing that you have to do it. As much as some people get motivated at the gym as they want to get fit or stay fit, they don’t actually have to – it’s more of a personal commitment more than a necessary for most.

If you get a dog, however, it will need walking once or twice a day. Therefore, as busy as you may think you are, you’ll have to find time to exercise the dog – which in turn means you’re getting exercise as well.
