While article marketing is basically free (except for the cost of your time and any bells and whistles you may subscribe to), Pay-Per-Click marketing, as the name indicates, costs money. Paid traffic, or Pay-Per-Click (PPC) marketing is also a very popular and effective way to get traffic to your website.
Probably the most well known services are those offered by the major search engines: Google, Yahoo and MSN. Each offers their own PPC networks with differences unique to them.
There are, however, many smaller pay per click networks that have a rising popularity as well. Of late, Facebook has taken the PPC stage by storm to become a major player.
