Kid Rock Tickets – He Returns to the County Stage with CMT Awards Host Gig
We all know that his name is Kid Rock – so what’s the big deal? Well, at least this month, he’s going to reign supreme to the 2010 CMT Awards Festival, welcoming country music’s best this June. If the former husband of Pamela Anderson doesn’t seem like the right fit, think again. Last summer Viagra Professional he rocked the country charts with his single “All Summer Long” and was one of four headliners during Indio’s Stagecoach Festival.
Calling Nashville home, Kid Rock’s style isn’t as eccentric as most would think – sure, he may don some blingin’ necklaces and oddly shaped hats, but when it comes to creating real country soul he is all about doing it right. Hosting the fan-voted CMT Awards from Nashville is just another step in the right direction, so go online today for Kid Rock tickets.
“The rumors are true,” he said in the first announcement confirming his position as host. “All I can promise is that I will be awesome.” The Detroit cowboy didn’t have much time to talk to press about his upcoming hosting gig, as he cruised off (literally) with fans on the “Chillin’ the Most” cruise that set out April 28th and hit the Cayman Islands. After he chills out a bit with fans performing his latest single the rocker will jump on the second half of Bon Jovi’s tour, where he’ll follow up in the shoes of Dashboard Confessional as the North American opener. Performing just six dates with the classic rock stars, Kid Rock will likely join Bon Jovi on a few hits; during February’s “Hope for Haiti’s” telethon event he showcased his collaboration power when he sang “Lean on Me” with Sheryl Crow and Keith Urban.
Supporting 2007’s Rock N Roll Jesus, a number one hit that gave the rocker two Grammy nominations (Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for “All Summer Long” and Best Rock Album), he’s continued to find success. The Rick Rubin produced set re-launched Kid Rock’s career, as he worked on hits with Lil Wayne and T.I. The option to create something totally innovative just shows how far Kid Rock has come. Rolling around Detroit for years trying to make a name for himself outside of Michigan, Kid Rock was hardly a celebrity in his hometown during the ’90s, where he recorded in a beat-up studio filled with alcohol and sleeveless tees. Eventually, of course, he went on to sell millions of records as he reproduced an infectious sound of Southern rock and rap that helped to explode his sound and single “Bawitdaba.”
Originally Kid Rock, born Bob Ritchie, was a Jive Recording artist that couldn’t find a hit following the release of his full length debut Grits Sandwiches for Breakfast. When he was dropped by Jive, he also dropped his longtime influence of the Beastie Boys and turned to hard rock with the sophomore The Polyfuze Method. Released on an indie label, it wasn’t until Devils without a Cause from 1998 that earned Kid Rock the fame he’d been craving – Atlantic Records signed him and “Cowboy” became his commercial ticket to fame.
