The three 18 hole championship golf courses at La Cala all provide golfers of all levels with different challenges. All three have been designed by one of the foremost designers in the golf world today, Cabell B. Robinson. Informed decisions will be required as you play through all three courses at La Cala whilst taking extra care from the tees. Due to the fantastic course design, a level of course management will test your golfing strategy where accuracy and club selection will reward. All three golf courses at La Cala place a premium on short game ability due to the small target areas and highly contoured lighting fast greens. Campo America, formerly known as the North course is longer and tighter compared to the second course, Campo Asia. The third course, Campo Europa is more generous from the tees with slightly larger greens than on the previous golf courses.
Campo Asia
This is the first of the three golf courses at La Cala, requiring accuracy straight from the start on all tees. The 18 hole par 72 course is not overly long at 5,925 metres but with strategic drives you will be able to find the fairways to give you the best chance and opportunity to attack the greens with approach shots. The fairways and greens are heavily bunkered to put pressure on accuracy, but the majority of tee shots are provided with wide landing areas that are downhill or level. The signature hole of the Campo Asia golf course is the 11th hole at par 3. This hole provides all golfers with unforgettable panoramic views of the whole resort, Mijas village and even the Mediterranean. This golf course is exciting to play which puts a premium on the approach shot.
Campo America
This is the second golf course designed for La Cala with 18 holes at par 72. Formerly known as the North course it spreads over 5,987 metres. The course design is similar to Campo Asia but with wide fairways making this a slightly easier driving course at La Cala. Golfers will be able to try for birdie opportunities on the first three holes to start the round off nicely. However golf players must be accurate and strategic also due to no two holes are alike. Skilful shots to the greens are recommended as you progress through the Campo America course. The final finishing holes are a golfers delight, the 16th hole offers a spectacular short hole with a lake and fountain. The 17th hole provides a tricky narrow green heading downhill towards the 18th. The final 18th hole can be easily achieved on par for golfers, but a birdie or even an eagle will give all golfers a great talking point as they make their way to the 19th hole bar.
Campo Europa
The third course at La Cala Resort that is a contrast between the two previous courses, Campo Asia and Campo America with wider fairways and larger greens. Golfers will find this course not to be severely contoured but instead a well bunkered to give an easier game for the average player. Campo Europa at par 71 measures 6,014 metres and is the largest of the three courses. Brand Levitra 14 holes of the full 18 are visible from the tees as golfers can also enjoy the fantastic views of the surrounding mountains and resort. Eight holes incorporate the Ojen river as it plays a part to cause a hazard by cutting across three fairways. The par 5 11th hole is the longest of the course at 524 metres.
We recommend if you get the chance to play three golf rounds that you play on each course. With such a great difference between the courses at La Cala, golfers have three fantastic options to choose from.
