Mary Poppins has flown into Melbourne for the upcoming Australian production of the hit children’s musical. Opening night is scheduled for July 29 at Her Majesty’s Theatre and stars Verity Hunt Ballard as Ms. Poppins and Matt Lee as Bert.

This fanciful story has been a hit with audiences ever since the release of the musical film starring Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke in 1964. In 2004 the story was adapted for the stage in London at the West End Theatre in London.
