Sugarland Tickets – ‘The Incredible Machine’ is Running
It has been months in the making, with teasers coming as deep as a tour, but finally country duo Sugarland have announced their next album. The Incredible Machine will be released on Oct. 19 with Mercury Nashville, following the finale of their exhaustive Incredible Machine Tour. According to SheKnows.com, the singles are finished, recoded and mixed but the country stars are still in search of just one more “explosive” element.
“We’re at the very tail end of the album right now,” singer Jennifer Nettles said to SheKnows.com. “We’ve finished the mastering process and are in the process of doing the sequencing – the order that you put the songs. Let me tell you something: It is not the easiest thing to choose.” See the final result this year when the dynamic duo begins promoting The Incredible Machine yet again, with Sugarland tickets online.
Nettles and her guitar strumming partner Kristian Bush will lead with the single “Stuck Like Glue,” set to become a radio favorite by the end of July. The fourth studio set and third that they group has created simply as a duo (Sugarland previously consisted of third member Kristen Hall), the album is entirely written and produced by its members, with help from producer Byron Gallimore. Excitement radiates from the singers, who have been anxiously awaiting the return to the studio for months. “‘Stuck like Glue’ is just plain, unashamed, Sugar-fun!” Nettles said on their website. “It sticks in your brain, no pun intended. To me it feels young, hip and of course, sassy!”
Nettles’ lyrics are known for their energy and passion; in 2008, after the group had finally reached superstar status, Sugarland picked up a Grammy Award for Best Country Performance by a Duo and Best Country Song for “Stay.” At that time the outfit had just finished promotions for their third album Love on the Inside, a record that went platinum and coincided with their prime time network television special. Both Nettles and Bush had already been country music veterans at that point; Nettles was brought to the group in 2002 after fronting Soul Miner’s Daughter, while Bush had formed the duo Billy Pilgrim.
Yet for both of them it was Sugarland that gave them ultimate success. Following Hall’s departure in 2006, both artists pulled together to promote Enjoy the Ride and work on the 2008 album Love on the Inside. Even without the initial glue that kept them together, the partnership was an easy fit. “I thought he was a nice guy and talented,” Nettles recalled to GACTV.com. “I appreciated his work. But we were both so focused on our own things at the time that the sense of a creative spark wasn’t an idea for either of us,” recalling their chance meeting years before Sugarland.
Apart from finishing their last round of the Incredible Machine Tour, Sugarland made an appearance at the Sarah McLachlan festival Lilith Fair. Performing during the first five events, Nettles faced a brief flashback to 1999, where former group Soul Miner’s Daughter earned a spot to play in Atlanta after a contest win. There was nothing bittersweet about returning as a headliner to dates in Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Portland and Seattle, as Nettles and her creative fire Bush have seen more success than either could image, and can expect more with The Incredible Machine.
