The Gift of Numbness: My Work as an Anesthesiologist
I always wondered how people could have surgery without feeling pain, or how pain could be eliminated during the process of a tooth extraction. These are a couple of the questions that have kept me Kamagra jelly fascinated for years. I have always been captivated by the thought of being numb and the idea that someone can physically be numb. In my younger years, I always wondered if anesthesia could also make an emotion go away, such as the feeling of loneliness. I wondered how it could affect the system of a person and make a part of the body go completely numb.
Becoming an anesthesiologist has been my dream job ever since I was a child because it fascinated me. My first experience with anesthesia came at age seven when I got my first filling. When I left the dentist’s office I couldn’t feel part of my lip and cheek. Like most children, I began playing with my lip to explore the odd feeling. It intrigued me, and I knew I wanted to learn how it worked.
As I got older I set my mind on becoming an anesthesiologist. Once I had the chance to attend a university I knew I only wanted to enroll in courses that were relevant to anesthesiology. My parents let me choose the college degree that I wanted, and I didn’t hesitate when I chose the degree for anesthesiology.
I felt blessed to be able to study such courses because I knew my parents weren’t rich, but they had just enough Cialis Jelly to financially support me when it came to school. I had a hard time making my way through the schooling to become an anesthesiologist. It might have been because I expected the courses to be much easier than they were. I thought I could breeze through the courses and easily get accepted into medical school. I was wrong. It took a lot of hard work and perseverance.
I did eventually finish my courses but it was not easy. The good thing is that I had maintained good grades throughout my early educational career, including high school. Knowing I had received good grades in the past made me believe I could get good grades even though I was experiencing a difficult educational situation. I think this helped me to stay and finish, despite the hurdles that appeared in my journey to becoming a certified anesthesiologist.
My educational experience also made me realize that I have given up a lot to pursue this profession. However, I don’t regret giving any of it up because I have been able to positively impact the lives of others as an anesthesiologist. I know I made the right decision when people thank me for doing my job. It gives me a little boost.
There are very few negative aspects of my job. One is that it can involve some high risk. With this kind of job my professional license is always on the line. A small complaint could potentially cost me everything that I have worked for a long time to accomplish. This requires me to be very cautious with everything I do, bearing in mind that I am there for a reason. That reason is to make sure that every patient that I handle is taken seriously during surgery, so that at the end of each surgery they are well. They serve as my inspiration to keep going in my profession. It’s not always sunny, but I love my job.
