The Life of a Tree: To Cut or Not to Cut
Back in the days when we were still young in age and at heart, we love the idea of playing beneath the shade of a tree together with our friends and families. Trees were a fixture in our backyards, with fathers taking time to build tree houses for his little ones. In return to the favor, the children spend countless hours in their tree houses, enclosed in their own world of play and fun. But as time goes by, children grow to become young adults; leaving behind the place they once call their own.
Time and again has proven itself that there are things that need to let go, no matter how hard it is to do so. The foliage we get from the trees are being removed either gradually or entirely as a whole like tree cutting. Tree cutting can refer to a number of things that includes logging for lumber for construction use. It can also mean removal of trees from neighborhoods in the event of an impending storm. Whichever way it is seen, the process can be both a good thing and a bad choice.
Tree cutting may be a good thing to consider especially when the lives of the people are at stake. Many and various natural calamities come and go, bringing destruction with them along the way. Most of the destruction these calamities bring include uprooted trees that fall on houses and on electric lines. During the fall season, leaves from trees become a daily eyesore to homeowners as they routinely gather the fallen leaves. Though this chore only happens in one particular season, the sight of fallen leaves can either bring fun or dismay when it comes to cleaning. Another fact on trees is that they can grow so tall, reaching the electric lines that can cause disruption to the utility service. This is being resolved with the branches being cut off. Tree cutting becomes a bad choice when done irresponsibly causing floods, landslides and water shortage. These issues are applicable to most of the countries all over the world, making these a global concern to deal with. The different national governments and non-governmental units are pooling their resources to resolve these issues one by one on an incremental basis. At present, these forces are doing a good job in addressing the concerns that we need to be more responsible in our actions when it comes to the environment.
There are so many ways how the presence of trees can be taken advantage of. These resources bring goodness to our lives with the clean air we breathe and shade for shelter. Their presence makes roads less discriminating to travel on and also make neighborhoods more livable in sight. They are not only used for paper products production and as construction materials but also serve as homes to different flora and fauna. The more trees are present, the more animals continue to live harmoniously with people. This fosters not only biodiversity but also a green environment that we love.
