Reba McEntire Tickets – Reba McEntire Readies New Album for November Release
There may be a host of up-and-coming country artists bombarding the radio waves, but true blue country fans are turning up their radios to hear the latest from one of country’s unwavering leading ladies: Reba McEntire. The country icon’s forthcoming, as-yet-untitled new album doesn’t arrive until Nov. 3 via Valory Music Co., but one new single off the album, “Turn on the Radio,” is gaining ample airplay right now.
“Turn on the Radio” doesn’t arrive on iTunes until Aug. 3, but Reba sat down with The Boot to talk about the single. “I fell for the song immediately. I love that it’s an up-tempo, strong woman song about a woman who has been done wrong by her lover and is telling him to turn on the radio if he wants to hear from her through their favorite song,” Reba gushed before adding, “Dann Huff (producer) and the musicians did a wonderful job bringing the heart beat out in the song. It gets your attraction from the very start of the song.”
“Turn on the Radio” and other songs slated to appear on her forthcoming new album have a tough act to follow, as her latest album Keep On Lovin’ You spawned the smash single “Strange.” “Strange” earned the Queen of Country the fastest-rising solo single and highest solo chart debut of her 34-year-plus career, which includes more than a dozen Levitra platinum-selling studio albums. The title track off Keep On Lovin’ You scored McEntire her 63rd (yes, you read that correctly, 63rd) Top 10 single. Keep On Lovin’ You was Reba’s first major solo album in six years and her first for the Valory Music Co.
Reba can be seen on the cover of the September issue of Cowboys & Indians magazine, and inside the pages she reveals that her new album will see her displaying a more experimental side. “I’ve done the most traditional country music possible, and then I’ve gone way over the line on doing a lot of songs that were not traditional country music. I’m going on my 35th year in the music business. Always experimenting and trying to do something different has something to do with why I’ve been in this business as long as I have,” Reba says in Cowboys & Indians.
Although Reba could undoubtedly fill stadiums on her own, she is once again teaming up with fellow country stars George Strait and Lee Ann Womack on the road. The trio first hit the road together earlier this year and will resume their successful road trip in Columbus, Ohio on Sept. 9. From there, Strait, McEntire and Womack will play dates in Nashville, Tenn.; Columbia, S.C.; Birmingham, Ala.; Pittsburgh, Pa.; Buffalo, N.Y.; Minneapolis, Minn. and more through late October.
Fans don’t have to wait until September for their chance to see Reba perform “Turn on the Radio” live, however, as she has scattered solo dates lined up throughout August. Go online today for Reba McEntire tickets to see her perform in cities like Fairlea, W.Va.; St. Leonard, Minn.; Uncasville, Conn.; Gilford, N.H.; Niagara Falls, ON and Harrington, Del. through Aug. 28.
