Here are some of the most popular destinations to check out while you are in town. Whether you visit one or all of them, you are sure to have an enjoyable trip to the Big Apple.

The Empire State Building is a United States National Historic Landmark that soars more than a quarter of a mile into the atmosphere above the heart of Manhattan. It has both a glass enclosed area which is heated in winter and cooled in the summer and a spacious outdoor promenade on all four sides of the building.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art is also a beautiful attraction that features a collection which now contains more than two million works of art from all points of the compass, ancient through modern times. If you enjoy find art, you will not want to miss out on this fabulous display.

The Frick Collection is another art museum in Manhattan. The collection is housed in a mansion which was constructed in 1913.

Times Square is also a must see as the major intersection in and iconic symbol of New York City. Times Square is home to many Broadway theatres and is also famous for its huge animated neon and LED signs and billboards.

Also, St. Patrick’s Cathedral is the largest gothic style Catholic Cathedral in the United States. The Cathedral is open daily and also has a gift shop.

The cornerstone of this building was laid in 1858 and the doors opened in 1879. Today, it is still as magnificent and open for your viewing pleasure.

Chinatown is also a fun place to visit located in the lower area of Manhattan. It offers unique Chinese shops, fruit and fish markets and around 300 restaurants featuring authentic Chinese cuisine.

The Top of the Rock is a 3 tiered observation deck on the top of the Rockefeller Center where visitors will get an unobstructed 360 degree view of the New York skyline. This is an ideal spot to take pictures of the city.

The Museum of Modern Art has a collection that has grown to include more than 100,000 paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints, photographs, architectural models and drawings and design objects. This museum also owns some 14,000 films and four million film stills as well as 140,000 books, artist books and periodicals, all part of the Museum’s library.
