The American Visionary Art Museum showcases works by self taught, outsider artists that have often been overlooked in the art world. It was founded in 1995 by Rebecca Hoffberger and has a unique arts attraction that has a permanent collection.

The Baltimore Museum of Art is home to an internationally renowned collection of 19th century modern and contemporary art. It was founded in 1914 with a single painting and has 90,000 works of art today.

The Great Blacks in Wax Museum is among the nation’s most dynamic cultural and educational institutions. Because it is a wax museum committed solely to the study and preservation of African American history, it is also among the most unique.

The Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Museum brings the magic and adventure of railroading to life every day. This historic national landmark allows you to see, touch, hear and explore the most important railroad collection in America.

You can also visit the Maryland Zoo. The Baltimore area’s zoo was created in the year 1876 and is the third oldest zoo in the country. You can see what it is like to stand eye to eye with a giraffe, get to know the elephants, watch the reptiles slither away and fly with the birds as you get to know about their fascinating lives.
