How to Write a Tag Line
Do you have a tag line of your own? Or maybe you heard someone else’s tag line or probably a tagline of a certain company? Taglines serve as a punch line that will automatically attracts the attention of a certain reader. It is very useful in some businesses either endorsing a product or a service. You can usually separate good tag lines from the rest of the field based on how memorable they are. As such, using memory hooks is a crucial component of any tag line, as it’s the single easiest way to make sure people keep you in their minds. The best hooks are usually poetic in nature, using rhymes, puns, word play and other similar technical instruments to achieve their goal. Yep, those poetry lessons from high school don’t sound so useless now, right?
Keep It Short
Even the cleverest, most witty tag line won’t be all that useful if it won’t fit into a bite-sized package. As such, you should strive to make it as short as possible. How short? If it won’t fit one or two lines on your business card, it’s probably too long.
