We Protect Systems from Excessive Pressure

Donadon SDD are manufactures safety devices to protect systems from pressure variations. The range includes rupture discs, vent panels for explosion protection and electric, magnetic, inductive and optical rupture indicating devices. To offer its customers a complete service the company also supplies a vast range of safety valves.

In the past six years, following a change in our corporate structure Donadon SDD has transformed itself from an artisan firm into an industrial one. The development project that started in 2003 has been supported by important investments R&D, in manufacturing and testing equipment and in new premises (production plant and offices).

Very successful innovations that have been really appreciated by our customers are:

– Donadon SCR reverse (compression) rupture with micro-scored calibrated section; special feature of SCR is scoring in 6 sectors instead of 4 as usual in all competitors’ discs in order to allow a better opening reducing the risk of petal detachment even at high bursting pressure.

– Donadon SCD concave (forward acting) rupture disc with micro-scored calibrated section; special feature of SCD is scoring in 6 sectors instead of 4 as usual in all competitors’ discs in order to allow a better opening reducing the risk of petal detachment even at high bursting pressure.

– Donadon LPD low-pressure rupture disk, a simple, reliable, accurate and cost-effective solution in applications that require protection from very low (positive or negative) pressure like storage or process tanks, reservoirs and silos, These discs can be personalized to solve non-standard applications and specifications and can be coupled with the optical rupture indicator OFI 04.

– In addition also the material range has been expanded introducing rupture discs in special materials like Titanium and Tantalum in addition to the well established Stainless Steel, Nickel, Hastelloy, Monel, Inconel and Graphite

The corporate organization and procedures are based on ensuring utmost quality in line with what provided for by the standard ISO 9001:2000, and products are tested and certified in compliance with the European regulations 97/23/CE (PED) and 94/9/CE (ATEX).

Donadon SDD has also been approved according to KTA 1401 standard as supplier of rupture discs to nuclear power plants.
For some customers also delivery time is very important. Donadon SDD manufactures each single lot of rupture discs following customer specifications and in spite of this delivery time does not exceeds three weeks. Spare parts can be supplied in a few days without additional charges.

What favors us compared to our competitors is our size: we are smaller, more flexible and faster, we have less fixed and general costs and hence we are more competitive on the price but we can ensure high quality achieved with advanced technology.

Quality and customer service have enabled us to expand direct sales of our products worldwide and triple our turnover.
At present we have distributors in some countries but a large share of our sales abroad occurs through the Internet. Direct contact with end-users ensures effective technical communication and allows quick deliveries at reduced costs.
