The Rules of the Plage in le Cap D’Agde
Known to many as ‘the naked city’, le Cap d’Agde is one of the favourite resorts for those who like to bare all and get back to nature. The best place to let go and relax completely on any holiday tends to be the beach, but in a place where rules are few and far between, what are the rules for the plage in le Cap d’Agde?
No Clothes Allowed
Now this might seem like a fairly obvious statement when discussing one of the world’s most famous nudist beaches, but when the people at le Cap d’Agde say no clothes allowed, they really mean no clothes allowed. Nudity is not just accepted in the resort, but it is in fact obligatory for those on the beach, with no exceptions other than at those times when climatic conditions call for some covering up. So if you’re thinking about trying naturism for the first time but you’re not quite sure yet that it’s your cup of tea, it might be worth testing it out before you head to le Cap d’Agde, as the only way you’ll be allowed on the beach is in the buff.
Photography is Prohibited
Taking photos within the confines of le Cap d’Agde is something to be careful of, and you will see signs reflecting this on the beach. The rules of photography are very strict, and do not allow the general taking of photos that might include other naturists in the background, or the foreground for that matter. However, don’t despair if you were hoping to stock up for the family album on your holiday, as photo shots and filming are allowed so long as they are of family members only.
Kids Can Come Too
Though le Cap d’Agde has gained a reputation over the years for the slightly more risque activities available, that is not to say that kids are not welcome. Admittedly, the resort does not have much other than a swimming pool that caters solely for children but there are no rules preventing children from visiting le Cap d’Agde.
Be Comfortable
The final and by far the most important rule about spending time on the beach at le Cap d’Agde, is to be comfortable with your appearance. Despite what you may see in the brochures, the nudist beach is not bursting with body-beautiful, size 8 beauties. It is full of perfectly normal people, from full-figured females to not-so-muscly men and nobody will look twice at your cellulite, stretch marks or that beer belly that you just can’t banish. So the most important rule of visiting the nudist beach is to be completely relaxed in your own skin, even if you are not yet completely relaxed about showing that skin.
So if you’re interested in spending your holiday at a nudist beach, this might be the perfect resort for you. With beautiful Mediterranean waters, stunning sands, and plenty of room for you to all to hang out, le plage at le Cap d’Agde is the place to be naked.
