Travel Jobs – How to Find a Travel Job Online

Have you ever wished you could get a job that would allow you to travel to anywhere in the world? What if you got to choose where you traveled to and when you went there? Using the power of the internet and some simple technology, landing your dream travel job is very do-able these days.

Typically, when you think of a ‘job,’ you imagine a grumpy boss who tells you what to do and when to do it. You fill out W-9’s and go through and interview process. If you’re lucky, you are hired and the company keeps you until you screw up or they can’t afford you.

Boring.

That’s not the kind of job that’s ideal for traveling. Even if you get hired for the extremely competitive jobs in the travel industry, such as on a cruise ship or as a guide, you still can’t see the places and things that you want to see. You’re bound by your company’s schedule. You usually have to be doing your ‘job’ while visiting these places anyway, so you don’t get to enjoy your travels.

There’s a much better way to make cash-on-demand. It’s using sites such as Elance, Guru, and DoMyStuff.

The way they work is very simple. Someone needs something done and they don’t want it done themselves, or they don’t know how to do it. They post an ad on one of these sites to have someone else do the work for them.

That’s where you come in.

You respond to the ad. You get hired without ever meeting your new employer. You complete the task and get paid.

Here’s the beautiful part: you can get the work done from anywhere in the world. As long as you get it done on time, it doesn’t matter where on earth you are.

So how can you get the work done while traveling? There are two ways.

The first is by taking a laptop with you. You complete the work while on airplanes, trains, buses, during downtime, or your scheduled ‘work’ time. You connect a wi-fi spot when you’re in range of one, get your jobs and post your jobs, and continue on your way with fresh funds deposited into your bank account.

The second way is to work solely from internet cafes. Apart from the United States, internet cafe’s seem to be on every city block around the world. You simply pay an insanely low price of a dollar or two per hour, get all your work done in one sitting, and when you’re done, you’re done… and free to enjoy your new location. There are advantages and disadvantages to both methods. Personally, I prefer to bring my computer for convenience, but I have to deal with the added weight, care, and worry about someone stealing my stuff.

So, what do you actually DO? There are so many jobs out there in so many different fields that it’d be impossible to list them. Suffice it to say that if you have a high school degree or are as smart as a high school student, you can find work on one of the three above sites.

I’ve personally posted ads for work to be done with easy tasks and great pay… and no one responded! Trust me when I say there are loads of opportunities out there for you to make big bucks to be made while you travel. If you’re smart about it, you can not only cover your expenses, but also put some away for a rainy day! The key is in getting started.
