One would also find a range of thrilling and adventurous aquatic activities such as kayaking, cycling and fishing around the area of Augusta Canal. It also exhibits attractions that range from the Fort Discovery Interactive Science Center to Botanical Gardens.

Augusta Canal is the only National Heritage Area and the only industrial power canal. This is the only source of water that provides drinking water for entire city of Augusta. One can enjoy some thrilling activities such as the kayaking or bicycling in the water of the canal.

One would also not afford to miss the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame and Botanical Gardens which was established in the year 1982. This garden is dedicated for preserving the glorious history of the people who contributed to golf. The garden exhibits a lush garden of 8 acres with bronze statues of some of greatest legends of golf.

It is not a daunting task to find a suitable accommodation during the stay at Augusta. But it will become a bit difficult to find a hotel if you are arriving in the city during major events such as Masters golfing tournament.
