Hard to believe that a couple of years back the team was considered to be a joke, last season few people were laughing when the team showed that they are a team to be dealt with. These teams are still all in shock at the success that the team had in a long while.

One reason for this success was due in a large part to the fact that the team found their passing game last season and as a result was able to hit their targets a lot of the times. This passing offense will be present in the team’s playbook a lot this season as the team will have a long way to go in the overall goal of winning games this season.

Another reason that the team is looking to have one of their better seasons is due to the fact that the team is looking at a running game that has brought a lot to the rushing department. Last season the people in Carolina as well, as the rest of the FL learned what the rest of Memphis already knew and that was that DE Angelo Williams can run. He led the team in rushing yards as well as rushing touchdowns.

The NFL draft was a rather generous event for the Panthers; this was where a lot of the talent that was overlooked got picked up by the Panthers. It is not always the most sought out players that will make an impact on a team, after all look at Tim Couch as an example.

These players are the heart and soul of the panthers plan to get to the Super Bowl in the upcoming seasons. The strength of the schedule will be the one area that the team will have a fighting chance to make an impressive run at the win column. There are several games that will allow them to show the strength of their defense. The defense that the team has will lead them to be an impressive unit when they take to the field in the fall.

Speaking of defense, there are several teams that will dread playing the Panthers this season. They know that what faces them this season will be yet another season of the defense that will place a large amount of pain on their opponents.

No matter what you opinions of the team will be, there is no doubt that the team will have a long road ahead of them in the coming season. This will lead to a lot of frustration with the team and their fans. There will still be the loyal fans that will fight the good fight for the Panthers team. Then there is the fact that the team will need to prove that they are worthy of being in the playoff fight.
