Queretaro, or Santiago de Queretaro as it is officially known is a colonial jewel that is located just 2 hours north of Mexico City. In 1997 it was declared a UNESCO world heritage site for its beauty and history. It is also known as one fo the safest and most culturally involved cities in Mexico.
