There are a few things to keep in mind before buying vintage clothes. If they are pre used, check them for stains and damage. If the problem is limited to a few loose stitches or sagging hems, you should be able to easily fix them. If the problem is bigger than that, you will obviously have to look at other options. Never make the mistake of wearing an entirely vintage ensemble, because you will only look like you just escaped from a theme park.

Of course, you could specifically pick up vintage clothing in bad condition at really cheap prices if you are good with a needle and thread and could do repairs yourself. You could also remove fabric panels, laces etc from these clothes to sew onto other clothes.

The options of mixing and matching outfits are limitless and you are only bounded by your own creativity.
