Spring is in the air and with it comes football’s Spring season as well. Utah University’s football team creates lots of excitement and they are foreseeing a season to rise above the rest. Utah truly believes it is their time, their year to really shine, to make it or break it as a remarkable football team. The past class signing gave the team that much needed kick, the reason is that a few of their players were on Utah’s wish list that were signing were able to be signed on as part of Utah’s football program.

However if they have any hope of being decent this year, they will have to tighten up and lock down on their offensive front line. Their team left many open holes in the offensive line because some players went for draft or have graduated. And Utah is quite aware that losing these key players on their offensive line has done a ton of damage to the team. Although their spring workouts over the past weeks has shown some positive aspects. Their offensive line is letting it known that they have so much swagger to them and this will be their time to shine. It might seem like a very long wait until this year’s Spring football season is finally among us, but it will be here sooner than you think. Even though their running game was a bit slow coming, they are catching up with the whole team. They will have to sign these key players and have lots of work left to do, but this is going to get their team ready when opening game arrives.

Their defense is holding strong, best that it’s been for a while. Few teams can compete when it comes to Utah’s defense strategy. Running the football for their opponents is going to be tougher since their addition of the secondary line. Their secondary line includes some players who could actually stop a moving bus in motion. This is going to be their key, working hard so that the team succeeds and stops their offense right in their tracks, and not letting them score. The defense could be one of the top in the country. Even though it has not been quite as good as it was back in the day when Urban Myers and Dan Mullins were in Utah it is still very strong.

So this upcoming football season brings many changes to the Utah football team. Giving them the backbone that they need in making the best of what the opponents have to throw at them. They will be a hard team to stop once they get started playing this season. We look forward to seeing them play and hearing about their season because there will be lots of talk of BCS being Utah’s future. So let’s all sit back, grab a fresh brew and watch as Utah University socks it to the rest of those teams in their game.
