Coping With Your Fear

There are many places your fear may come from. It could come from your past experiences which are bad. These experiences that you’ve had may create a certain fear in yourself because of the reason that you don’t want to go through the bad times that you’ve been through before. Fear could also come from experiences from others which you project in your own future. These bad experiences from others form a fear in you because you also don’t want to go through the bad experience that they’ve been through. When you’ve had a bad initial experience on something, you will tend to develop a fear for that something. Let’s say you’ve had a bad first experience in swimming in a pool because you nearly drowned, you will then develop the fear of swimming in any pool because of the bad experience you’ve had before. Fear may also come in the form of being told what might or might not happen. Like our parents telling us that if we don’t finish school, we will never get a job. Because of this, we develop a fear for not being able to finish school because we have an idea in our head that we will never find a job if we don’t complete our schooling.

Overcoming your fear is very important because your fear can cause you to become stuck. Your fear of the unknown will keep you remain stuck wherever you are. If you have a fear for failure or if you fear what others might think, you will never be able to move forward and do the necessary things you need to do to further escalate your life. You should never fear doing something different especially if you know that in by doing that, you will put yourself in a better position. If you don’t overcome fear, you will only make yourself miserable and you won’t be able to move forward at all.

Fear can also cause a lot of health problems. Stress is the number one cause of health problems. When you have a lot of fears, you’re inclined to having a lot of anxiety, panic attacks and even depression. And when you have those, you are more susceptible to getting your physical health at risk.

Your fear will also stop you from developing yourself. When you fear a lot of things, you will tend to play everything safe because you don’t want to get hurt or you are afraid of what others might say if you fail. When you have fear, you set limitations for yourself. And because of these limitations, you will never know what you’re capable of. The only way for you to know your true potential is to let go of your fears so you can do whatever it takes to soar high and do the things you want to do. If you overcome your fear, you will be able to experience more and through these experiences you will develop a sense of achievement and you will become more knowledgeable and wiser. Overcoming your fear not only boosts up your self confidence, it will also give you a new view of the world.
