Everywhere we go, one of the common things that we see are trees. They come in various types and in different sizes. Some trees are placed strategically to provide aesthetic value to an area especially outdoor malls and parks. There are some trees that are planted in sidewalks for the same reason of beautification. Trees in general are used in different ways in which humans will benefit from their existence. For one, trees make the air we breathe fresh and clean and without them, living things might cease to exist. Another would be the fact that they provide food in form of fruits and flowers for both man and animals. One purpose that is never absent in our daily chores is their use as raw materials for the production of paper products. Every single day, the paper products that we use are a testimony of the importance of trees as a whole.

It is not enough to see and appreciate a tree. Information for our knowledge will give us the advantage of how to ensure that their existence is maintained and at the same time, appreciated. Information becomes valuable when we can make us of it to everyone’s advantage. We know and understand the importance of trees. This affirmation is not enough if we fail to do our part in keeping the trees in good shape and alive. The trees that we see in public open spaces are placed there for a purpose and that is to beautify. To ensure that these living resources will serve the objective, a group of people are hired to maintain their beauty. This beauty maintenance includes trimming, pruning and landscaping. To get tree information is a need for these assigned people to do their jobs right at the first instance.

Different trees require different care and treatment. Forest trees like oaks do not need pruning since they are designed to sustain climate changes without human intervention. In timber areas where trees are grown for lumber production, a group of people are tasked to manage trees by checking on the forms of their trunks and composition. Hollow trunks are not much of use for timber since wood used for construction must be clean and free from cavities to ensure quality. For palm trees, these need regular pruning since its leaves tend to wilt during weather changes and must be removed to avoid any accidents.

Trees are important in our lives, whether we like it or not. Without their existence, food source becomes scarce and so does commodities that are made of wood. The air we breathe becomes a daily issue as it thoroughly affects our health and well-being. The scenery becomes bland and monotonous that everyone would choose to stay indoors for a change of view and for relaxation. As unrenewable living resources, new trees need to be planted to replace the ones that have been cut down. Our lives depend on their existence and so are they with us. As their numbers decrease, our hope for a greener earth slowly becomes an impossible dream.
