Getting Ready For Your Whole Day in Shopping Malls

Spending the whole day in shopping malls is both fun and fulfilling. But sometimes, because you haven’t really figured out how to pick the right time and day to shop, as simple as picking the right parking spot or even lining up at the cashier can be very stressful. Here are some shopping tips that you may find very helpful to make your experience at the mall a more pleasant one:

Timing Pays
Arrive at the mall within the first two hours of its opening. Shopping malls have better parking spots during this hour. The most suitable place to leave your car is near the mall entrance, but if you are planning to go home at the time when most shoppers head the exits, choosing the one that’s near the gate is a better idea. Park your car under a shade if it’s hot and sunny.

If you have the time, go to shopping malls during Thursdays and Fridays. That way, you can avoid the weekend shoppers, plus, you can better choose sale items as they come off the rack.

The Get-Up
Do not bring your coat inside the mall. Walking in shopping malls, no matter how big or small they are, will warn you up pretty nicely. You don’t want to bring the burden of carrying your coat wherever you go. A pair of shoes can make or break a day of shopping. Wear your most comfortable pair of slip-on shoes, but not necessarily the least fashionable one. Button down shirt is very convenient in the dressing room without messing up your hair and makeup. Wear undergarments that match your skin tone. This way, you can try out clothes of any color without the distracting black bra under a white shirt syndrome.

Eating
Of course, you need to eat. But if you want a less crowded food court or restaurant, then having lunch at 11:30am or dinner at 6:00pm. Who said lunch and dinner should be taken at 12 noon and 7pm anyway?

Smart Shopping
Smart shoppers always shop around. Not because you have found a nice bag at the first store you have visited, it doesn’t mean that you cannot find much better ones. Shopping malls can offer the widest choices for those who know how to look. If you really love something in one store, you can always ask the salesperson to keep it for you until a specific time.

Know when to buy. Shopping malls attract you in every way to make a purchase on every visit. It feels awful, therefore, if at the end of the day and after walking around the mall for several hours, you still have nothing to carry home. However, it feels more awful if you spend your money on things you really don’t need. The point is simple, too frugal and choosy is a waste of time; too desperate to spend your money can be dangerously expensive. Know what you need and buy things you only need.

Do not forget to ask for the return policy. Different stores are following different rules in cash back policy but still, it pays to ask. And always inquire on the possibility that the price can be given at a discounted price.

Finally, it is better to visit shopping malls alone than bringing someone with you and feeling guilty that he or she has to wait while you spend an hour in a store.
