Deuteronomy 8:18 you shall bear in mind the Lord your God: for it is he who provides power for getting wealth, that he may establish (continue) his covenant which he swore with your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob which is still the same today.

The word wealth, as translated within this verse means plenteous in goods. If you don’t mind my saying so what this really means is it is God’s will and covenant for people to have loads of good stuff.

Now don’t get crazy on me, this will not really imply that God wants everyone to be a millionaire however it does mean that God wants us to get nice things. God never wants us to get poor.

Cash is not evil although the love of dollars is evil. Actually, I know rich people that love money and I know poor people that love money and this is evil in both cases. It is not noble to be poor because the Bible even tells us in Deuteronomy 28:15-68 that poverty and sickness is a curse.

God even tells us that wealth and riches shall be in our house. Pray to God and tell Him, Lord your Word says that I am suppose to have wealth and riches in my house and I thany you for that and I expecet to receive that in Jesus name.

Jesus said in John 10:10 I am come that you might have life and also have it more abundantly. I proclaim that if Jesus came so we could have an abundant life the least we can do is live an abundant life.

Someone has to pay the bills and individuals who have more than enough dollars would be the people who pay the bills. It requires dollars for evangelism, to keep the lights on within the church, to send a television signal which carries the gospel into other countries, to pay the preacher and to feed the poor.

The rule of thumb is from is Matthew chapter 6:33 when Jesus said, Seek ye first the kingdom of God and the righteousness and everything required will be granted to you. This is not poverty. Having everything you need given unto you is prosperity and that is what Jesus said we could and should have.

The covenant of wealth is a promise God made to Abraham and in fact is still in effect today for all Christians who are sons and daughters of Abraham according to Galatians chapter 3.
