Proper Dog Training
Isn’t it wonderful to have a pet dog? To have a pet dog is to have the best experience. The joy of owning a pet dog needs no explanation. They want it to be the most obedient, the most lovable and the best dog of them all. However, the joy of owning a pet dog can grow two-folds if you can train it. I guess nobody will disagree with this statement. You can employ simple training methods to make your pet dogs obey your commands. Just imagine your dog sits when you say sit and stands when you say stand? Wonderful, isn’t it
When training your dog there’s only one thing you must remember – don’t go overboard. It is not to offend any pet owner but we are just mentioning that some pet owners tend to train their dogs in a rather harsh manner. For example, punishing the pet dog for being disobedient or for not picking up the training properly etc. One thing every dog owner must understand is the fact that you need to have patience. I am sure this needs no explanation as every pet owner knows how to deal with their dogs, still I find it rather a compulsion these days to stress on the importance of having patience in a dog-training regime. Many dog owners have the so-called patience at the beginning, but as time goes on they tend to get frustrated as their dogs are unable to catch the nuances of the training. If your dog is unable to catch it, then I would suggest you not to trouble your pet dog.
Dog training should be fun and it should not impose any kind of stress or violence. Training should be pleasant and enjoyable rather than being strict and violent. In fact dog training is very easy unless it is for specific purposes like detection, hunting, law enforcement etc. And is obviously one of the most enjoyable ventures that a human can ever experience. Training your pet dogs involves lot of things like running along with it to help it catch a ball or plate or obedience training etc. Things like these could enliven your spirits as well.
The most basic dog training procedure is the obedience training where you teach your pet dog to obey your commands. The standard obedience training involves teaching your dog to sit, down, heel (stand up), stay, close and recall (i.e. respond to commands like come here, go there). The methods to teach these behaviors can be various and there are no specific training procedures. Every dog owner can resort to his/her own ways to teaching these obedience behaviors or any possible other possible training tricks to your pet dog. The only thing to keep in mind is not to punish your pet dog or resort to any violent steps whilst the dog training regime. Proper dog training involves giving rewards for positive response. Dogs will catch things gradually. So, wait until it grasps what you want it to do.
