In my office, we use the Zoom! Chairside Whitening system that takes a total of sixty to ninety minutes and gives immediate results-up to as much as ten shades of whitening, depending on the optimal results for your teeth.

We start the process by examining your teeth to ensure that you are a good candidate for teeth whitening and that no cavities or gum disease are present in your mouth. Once that is completed, we begin the teeth whitening process by covering your lips and gums with a protective rubber mouth guard so that only your teeth are exposed for the procedure. A special bleaching gel is then applied and a curing light is used to activate the stain removing, whitening agent in the gel. During the process, you can sit back, relax and either watch TV or listen to music while your teeth are gently being brightened.

The gel and light process is used in three, fifteen minutes sessions for a total of forty-five minutes. We then complete the treatment with a fluoride application. The process is so quick and simple that you can come in during your lunch hour and leave with a radiant, sparkling smile.

If you prefer to do your teeth whitening at home in a slower process, we can provide take-home teeth whitening kits with custom-fitted bleaching trays and professional strength gel. You simply fill the trays with the gel and wear them per our instructions for approximately thirty minutes per day. The process takes from ten to fourteen days to achieve the desired results, although many people notice a difference immediately after one application. The at-home whitening kit can also be used for touch ups for those patients who have the in-office Zoom! Chairside Whitening done.
